fantastic sexual health service, have been here about 3 times over the years and twice more recently, always so lovely and friendly, nurses are really helpful and professional. surprising for a walk in centre, recommend!
** i wanted to edit this and reduce it down in stars, i was advised my coil was in the correct place after being told at a hospital appointment that it was nearly coming out during a colposcopy, they sent me back to the beat to have them check/remove it but the nurse there said it was sitting just fine and to "go and live my life as normal its sitting fine". after an ultrasound a few weeks later the coil was indeed, almost hanging out, had to have it urgently removed. thankfully i didn't take this nurses word for it or the outcome would have been very different.. the service is still good and the nurses are usually very nice here but this incident has made me think poorly
Just tried to call and make an appointment for a refill for my Contraceptive pill and the rudest receptionist happened to answer the phone and proceeded to tell me in a foul can’t be bothered tone “ I can’t hear youuuu “ and then told me to go to the royal hospital?? it’s genuinely pathetic. I’m sick to the back teeth of these receptionist’s acting like they’ve above people in need of general help.
When I had tonsillitis for over a week I went here and they told me it would be gone in a few days, even though it should only last 4 days anyway. Tonsillitis did not go for another two weeks. I had to go to the GP eventually when I moved back home and they put me on antibiotics.
Seen by triage nurses. Told them I think I have a kidney infection gave them the water sample, then told to wait. After 3hrs wait finally got to see another nurse (not Dr) she asked for the water sample told her I had handed it to a nurse 3hrs ago. When she tested it she said you don't have a water infection and to make an appointment to see my gp. If they had done the water test before waiting 3hrs I would have left. This service is a joke never go there again very unprofessional.
I cannot praise this service enough!! From my initial phone call ( the lady who answered was very pleasant and friendly) to Fran the nurse whom I spoke to within the hour (again very friendly). Fran arranged an emergency appointment within a couple of hours. I was seen by Dr Baird ( again approachable, friendly and professional) and was there for over an hour being treated, tested, referred etc. Dr Baird was assisted by Hannah and Rachael (lovely, down to earth girls). Even the receptionist was friendly!! Maybe our GP's could learn a thing or two from this practice!!
Altogether an excellent experience/service with exceptional staff. Nice clean building too, once inside. Easily accessible via car(Hanover St Carpark), bus or train
Amazing service. Staff is lovely and made me feel comfortable. Wait time was good.
Thanks so much what a fantastic friendly service. I went mid morning was seen by the triage nurse in less than 10 minutes. Following that I waited less than 15 minutes and was seen by a very kind and helpful nurse Alison Walker. Much Appreciated. On this saddest of days I filled in the form they gave me. i wrote on ethnic group European. Horrible this was not offered as an option. When so many Europeans are serving us via the NHS.
Staff were amazing and lovely people. I’m not a big fan of doctors bec of the bad treatment I’ve had before. However these people where amazing thankyou to everyone
