The Bear inn is a great traditional village pub. There is a lovely long front bar, and a back room with darts and a pool table, there's a couple of large TVs for watching Sport. The pub has an excellent wide range of beers, lager and cider, including three cask conditioned real ales on when I called in. The cask ale was very good. The staff are friendly and there is a nice big car park behind the pub. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Had a great evening in the Bear, had a good selection of hand pulled bear. Chris and Sadie were working and there hospitality was amazing, the pub had a good selection of Bar snacks. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the village.
Sadly I received a parking ticket for The Bear Inn Car Park. No where in the pub did it say to register your car number plate. We had a super time, but the parking fine left a bad taste. Won't be going back. Be aware guys ????
Under new management again! Undergoing refurbishment. Casque ales are suffering, in that only one or two are on at any one time and, honestly, I've tasted better. Maybe the cellar is in a bit of disarray at the mo.
More effort at keeping the bar counter clean and dry and not sticky would help the experience. I used to be a regular but prefer to go to the Fox and Coney across the road now.
Just been renovated. Proper drinking pub. No foodie nonsense here. If you want food drink, nice atmosphere, pool and darts, give it a try. Great to see it finally doing well.
A lovely afternoon with family sat by a nice log fire. Excellent service and good atmosphere.
Really great pub and lovely staff - Gav is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We stopped there while hiking through and he gave us advice on the best camping spots and even offered up his beer garden. Wish we could have stuck around longer!
