Visited for lunch after a long afternoon of hiking Mam Tor and surroundings.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with great background music, generous sandwich portion (I had tuna mayo), vegan chocolate pecan brownie was delicious and loved their tea (pear and ginger).
Paid about £15 for a pot of tea, brownie and sandwich which was fair.
You’d be silly to not visit this place if you’re in the area.
Cafe and gift shop with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. We had breakfast there and all food and drinks were delicious. There's plenty of choice on the breakfast menu. Especially nice were the poached eggs on toast and the Full English breakfast. All portions were generous. Would love to return when we are next in the area.
Had a good lunch here midway through the hike. Recommend the tuna cheese panini. Friendly staff and good vibes here.
The oat milk mocha was very very good, best one I’ve had and I didn’t even have to pay extra for the oat milk ????????????
Good location, went to have brunch after a hike on mam tor. Service was lovely and prompt. Food was excellent, so was the affogato.
We briefly stopped here to grab a bite before starting our trail in Castleton????️

Lovely little cafe with friendly staff snd a nice cosy atmosphere. There are light lunch options and a great selection of cakes, scones etc. They also do ice creams.
Coffee was good and they had non-dairy milks available. There were gluten free and vegan cake options too.
Not a friendly place at all. I was just walking my Labrador puppy, he pooed on the edge of the path to this cafe, I immediately picked it up, and then the owner came out and rudely said “Not a good place for that, is it?” I apologised politely and he aggressively shook his head at me. This is NOT the way to cultivate a friendly community atmosphere and I would recommend steering clear if you want a welcoming environment and a place that welcomes well behaved dogs in its near vicinity.
