WoW what a hidden gem. The food was cooked to perfection & presentation just shows the sheer love for producing top quality dishes . Specials board very interesting.Poached egg with delicious vine tomatoes served on a bed of bubble & squeak with asparagus. Or the home made burger with layering options - image bacon & Stilton. Sorry no image of the chocolate banoffee pie as we demolished it . Amazing value … the best dining lunch experience we’ve had in a while
What a fab cafe. Huge roast with loads of fresh veg. Delicious cakes. Brilliant service. Thank you
To say this is a hidden gem is the understatement of the year. We had a cream tea and burger wow full of flavour and amazing. Saw raspberry blueberry and vanilla cheesecake as we left so had a to go portion. We will be driving for an hour to get more which I think says it all. Amazing
Lovely eatery in Hornsea, Yorkshire. Very dog friendly, and our dog was served with a lovely bowl of chicken and beef off cuts, free of charge. We had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with rice and beans, served with an avocado salad. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. In summary, it is a nice place to eat, especially if you have a dog.
Very nice food and atmosphere friendly staff. We will go again.
Accessibility incl Car Parking and Loo:
Step to outdoor seating area and door, they have a portable ramp, either phone ahead to arrange, or someone would need to go into ask for the ramp yo be set up. I suggest a wireless doorbell near the 1st step? Wider area to the right in the main part of the restaurant for wheelchairs.
The toilet is not 'disabled' or an 'accessibility' loo and the passage narrows at one bit, due to the original design of the restaurant.
Limited on street parking immediately outside for the row of shops, but Council Pay and Display parking behind shops on the otherside of the road. Free 3 hour parking on Cinema Street further up. On street parking on Newbegin unrestricted after 6 and Sundays.
Food:
The two iof us, one veggie and one carnivore enjoyed the selection. Vegetarian, one option had parmasan, but I passed that on. There is a 'Specials Board' as well as the main menu.
Service:
Very friendly.
Toilet:
Yes.
Warm welcome on a rainy day. Friendly lady Manageress, had recently taken over Bay Tree Cafe. We had a nice hot coffee, ordered the roast chicken with sage stuffing baguettes, and shared nicely cooked fries and a side salad. ???? Very tasty and generous portions. Lovely clean and modern little gem of a cafe. Would visit again next time in East Yorkshire. Xxx
A few steps up to the front door. Plenty of outdoor seating. Tea and cakes were very good - unusual and interesting.
The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Be prepared for a bit if a wait whilst it’s being made. It’s definitely worth it!
