We loved it here from the minute we arrived, such a relaxed atmosphere. Room was homely, clean and comfortable. Rick and Gina were perfect hosts. Welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and all local produce. A great location as a base to explore this part of Devon. We will be back.
We loved this place so much we decided to come back again this year. This time we took my parents. We had the large room by the garden which was brilliant for the dogs and my parents had a really lovely room at the other end of the hall. |Breakfast is really filling and there is lots of choice. On the nights Rick cooks it’s well worth you trying out the selection on the menu. All the meat is fresh and the food is excellent. You can sit in the lounge after you eat and just chat or watch tv or have a drink from the bar. The location where this is setting is really nice. You are always made very welcome and you can ask on good places to visit. There are pubs close if they are not cooking on certain nights ( food not as good as Ricks though)|Thank you very much to Rick and Gena for making our stay so special. My parents have been telling all there friends so I expect they will be going soon. |Sure we will be going back again next year.
Stopped off here as a family of three for an afternoon cream tea! I so glad we did as the cream tea was wonderful. Freshly made and enormous warm scones. Lovely couple run this team room and B&B and they are friendly and doing a great job. A gorgeous garden is opposite where you can enjoy lunches or tea with a long list of delicious homemade cakes. This is our second visit to this tearoom having visited in 2021 and the cream tea was so good, we had to come back!
From the first point of contact Gina was extremely welcoming and helpful, and went out of her way ensure that we could get a room booked on our chosen dates suitable for the dog ???? ||||I was able to completely switch off in these beautiful surroundings and slept so well! Really friendly staff, great service, super clean and lovely food, we will definitely be back!
Barbara and her family made me feel very welcome, i was on my cycling trip to lands end and was starving, Barbara kindly cooked me dinner even though they do t do food on Thursday’s. Great little spot, peaceful. If I pass again I will not hesitate to stay here..
We appeared, unannounced, half an hour before closing on a Friday evening asking for a cream tea. We could not have been made more welcome. The scones were delicious, the tea was hot, the garden was beautiful and we will definitely come again. Thank you!
We stopped for a cup of tea at the bark house. The fruit scone and shortbread were delicious. The tea was serves in chi a cups and the tea garden was lovely. Very friendly host. Would absolutely recommend stopping off.
Excellent service and hospitality. Friendly owner and family . Highly recommend. 4 nights in Devon didn't see everything but the B&B is well placed for all attractions and entertainment for your holiday in Devon ????????
