Went for a quick breakfast on a Sunday morning. My friends and I all had the full English, very nice breakfast for an inexpensive price! The man working was really lovely. They offered a variety of breakfast items along with a large range of sandwich choices too.
The gentleman serving was friendly and welcoming... food was fine, a bacon bap...
The cafe is very tired though,feels you are sticking to the floor and tables..could do with a lick of paint and deep clean... customer loo was an experience!!!! I couldn't even touch the door or light pull...that DEFINITELY needs sorting
Lovely coffee nice smooth and mild as I like it. Had a great scrambled egg plus salmon breakfast.
Only small niggle - big screen tv can dominate a bit but volume turned nice and low so we could easily have a conversation.
TVs in cafes is a pet peeve but others might like them.

What a lovely experience that was. Amazing friendly service, excellent food at reasonable prices, very generous portions too, and the coffee, well that was just lush! We have found a weekly replacement for our usual cafe now. Thankyou ❤️
Stopped here for a quick lunch bite with my family. Greated by a really lovely guy who took our order, food and drinks arrived really quickly even though the guy was on his own. Nice food, friendly service at a great price.
The worst English breakfast I have ever had, tasted of burnt griddle which is what everything seemed to be cooked on, accompanied by burnt toast. The scrambled eggs were mixed by the milk frother - not sure what would happen if you have an allergy
to eggs or milk plus milk frother not wiped.
The place smelt of oil and burnt griddle and was smokey and the whole place was dirty you could also see through to the kitchen at the back which looked very unappealing . No health and safety sign visible. One man doing everything. The one star was for the orange juice which was freshly squeezed. Also saw another family of four arrive they sat down and were ignored so after 10 minutes upped and left. I’ve seen good reviews on here so I am baffled seems like they are reviewing a totally different cafe.
Since my first meal at The Bake House, I have been back for more! I have experienced breakfast, lunch and dinner there, both take-away and dine-in, and the service is absolutely great. I arrived very close to closing time once and still the chef turned the grill and fryers back on to accomodate me! The food is fresh, appetizing and very well presented. The decor is fun, pleasant and inviting! There is a wide variety of hot and cold foods - English, American and Greek. Lovely selection of teas - including my favorite, Redbush tea - which I haven't seen in any other restaurant yet. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and I was so comfortable in the place, even after I finished my meal I wasn't in a hurry to leave - and lingered a bit! The staff is very friendly and very easy and intriguing to converse with. I definitely recommend The Bake House for great meals, great service and just an all around great place to be! 5 Stars ???? ????????????????‼️ ~ Timeless* Angel
Great value for money. Truly lovely man who served me. Would definitely go back . And recommend. Had a veggie breakfast. (The only reason it isn’t 5 is the mushrooms tasted a little old. Other than that the food was good ) ????
