I feel a bit crappy writing this as the food was absolutely beautiful but back of house is really bad and I mean horrendous. Used the bathroom, no toilet paper available, no handle on the inner door of the toilet let alone a lock, dirty floor. I washed my hands and reached for the paper towels. The dispenser was empty and there was a wet, crumpled up bar towel on the side of the sink to dry your hands. Needless to say I didn’t use it. Seriously amazing food but the prices they charge should also reflect in the facilities and sadly they really let the place down.
We went to the Baglan for a family meal 18 of us. The menu I found was limited especially when it came to vegetarian/vegan or allergies. I had the scampi which I really enjoyed, the steak was good too. Also for the location I found the prices to be a little steep.
The decoration is a lot but seemed clean enough and the staff and service was good and friendly. There is a bar area separate to the restaurant, I believe they have live artists on the weekend too.
On a main road so limited parking available. Easy to find
This is my first visit to the Baglan Hotel, the staff were extremely friendly.
Food options were extremely limited and when I contacted them to discuss food options for allergies and vegans I was told I would get a call back which never happened.
Food was decent but I don't think I would come here again.
The Baglan have opened a new restaurant called Flame by Rob Miles - it’s great. I had the Flaming Seafood and it was fabulous. All the people I went with enjoyed the food and the service was great. I’d 150% go back. My parents had the fish and gammon and said both were great.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! Burnt ends anyone? Bacon wrapped onion rings? Parmesan potatoes? Seafood grill that looked like a piece of art and tasted better. This guy is no cook, he's a chef! A gem of a placethat should be supported and promoted. Definitely on or top five eateries. Bravo sir.
This place is vile the hallways seem they have never seen a hoover the mould in the windows is disgusting and only offer people health problems I would highly recommend you look for elsewhere to stay.
We stayed for a long weekend and had a lovely break. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere helped make this a memorable stay. We were there for their fireworks party Rob and all the staff worked so hard to make sure the night went with a bang. Rooms are clean warm and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing - one of the best ever. Easy parking right outside the door. ||Unfortunately we were unable to stay for Sunday lunch but definitely will do next time. This is a real community establishment and has everything you could want for a relaxing and comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome. We’ll definitely be visiting again.
First visit for Sunday lunch , superb beef dinner, plenty of everything, professionally presented with friendly staff, excellent price. Will definitely be calling again ???? easy 5*
