Now re opened and trading again as The Robin Hood. Serving fantastic authentic Indian Cusine to eat in and take away. Absolutely delicious!
Not really a place I would recommend unless you're looking for an average indian in a pub setting. Limited real beer, only available in bottles, limited decent wine. Friendly enough staff but young women with limited experience don't always make the best staff. Better alternatives exist within a few minutes drive or walk. Unlikely to return.
I went for dinner with my family last week and it was a lovely experience. All the food was absolutely delicious and service was great. They seemed very busy with both dine in and take out orders but they still managed to serve us with a smile. Will be back for sure!
Takeaway: Ordered for 4 people. Delivered before promised time, very reasonable prices, good menu with customizable options, food tasted amazing. Everyone enjoyed every bit! Will recommend and use again! We look forward to coming in for a sit down meal.
Agree with Jag - avoid this place, overpriced pub food masquerading as "Authentic Indian Cuisine".
We sent two dishes back, the pashwari nan didnt seem cooked and not sure what had happened to the Sagaloo but it appeared to have been through a liquidizer. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a bland tomato sauce with some of the tikka chicken rubbery, whilst the Tandori chicken was not what you would expect, not sure they have a tandoor or maybe it was out of order. The Popadom sauces were also a disappointment, with very little served and again not good quality. Watch out for the soft drink prices as they only do bottled mixers, £4.00 for a pint of soda and lime; ouch! Try Maliks in either Marlow or Cookham or Spice Merchant in Cookham for similar prices but much better authentic Indian Restaurant food and all round experience.
Had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated and served quickly. The placw5 was quiet with a few people at the bar and one other table having lunch. They welcome children and mine enjoyed the food.
We will be back
Went from a 4 star to a 1 star. Bad reheated overpriced food....avoid!!
Their clay oven was broken, when we were about to leave they claimed it started to work again.... The mixed grill was reheated, no respect for their customers by feeding them lies and bad food.
Poor quality food at inflated prices. Surly service. Pickle tray and poppadoms dire, curry tasted like it had been microwaved. Avoid.
