First went there a year or so back and had a nice breakfast. Went there last month and they only now have breakfast Baps! I asked, can you just put the items on a plate and the bap roll next to it? No they couldn't do that for some reason! It's a brilliant location and they could do so much more with the menu and some of the staff. Sadly, I won't be going there again, until they change the menu for proper food. There's plenty of other places to go
Very dissatisfied with the cafe. Stopped off for a breakfast, stood and read tge menu, decided what we wanted to be told that the WiFi and tills were not working. That's fine, I have the exact money , cash so no problem. But no, tgey could help with that as could not record was was sold. Never thought about using a pen. Did apologise but could of done more in my opinion, probably not there business so not bothered. I would of offered a free coffee out the machine like the ones they were drinking.
The cafe was clean and well presented, but I felt it was let down by the restricted (and very pricy) menu.
Lovely location. Breakfast baps were lovely but 3 of us didn't get the right order and two of us didn't get anything until reminded- although they did get a free coffee as an apology. Choice limited to Baps and I really don't agree with their decision to do away with cups, plates, and cutlery even if the cups are compostable.
How very dissapointing . Often used to go for breakfast and children to play in the park. Last time . Menu change and not for the better. Food served in cardboard trays . ! Only available as rolls . No longer do a traditional apache breakfast. One person's order missed completely. Young man serving clearly didn't want to be there . Overall very poor. On to find somewhere new. Museum still very good. I feel they Will loose a lot of money this way from people who just visit to eat . We travel 40 mins to go . Not worth the journey now .
This cafe is a complete embarrassment to the museum. The museum is fantastic, the cafe is a massive letdown, limited choices on the even more limited menu. Tried to order a sausage bap, “no baps”. Ok can I order a sausage and some chips? “No, it’s not on the menu so you cannot have it”. No bread, no baps, no toast…
It wasn’t even lunchtime yet!
Just head to Adam’s best kebab van a few hundred metres away on the way to Andover. His reviews are but better, so is his food.
Staff were great, but the options are limited if you have any kind of food allergy.
I'm lactose intolerant, and had a choice of expensive ham egg and chips, or just chips.
My wife's coeliac so had the same choice.
Why can't they just do breakfast all day like every other cafe?
Otherwise perfectly fine, clean, nicely situated, good service.
It's 1 star for the sheer amount of waste they must produce! Not at all environmental friendly. Went on a busy day and had a cartoon of juice and piece of (terrible) cake. Served with throw away fork and plate! The bin was overflowing with single use plates, cups and cutlery. It was shameful, especially in this day and age. It's disappointing as I love the museum but will avoid the cafe.
