We visited when it was quiet. The venue really lacked atmosphere when there's only a couple of tables of people - even just dimming some lights would make it feel a bit more cosy. As a result we left after one drink but would've happily stayed for more of it felt a bit more welcoming. Member of staff was nice, although was more interested in chatting to some locals than making sure we were all served.
Good pub for sport and pool. Not much more. Friendly staff and locals - would go again for the space with friends. Atmosphere isn’t spectacular, but not was the game to be fair.
Now called the Rat’s Castle! Nice and clean good selection of beers and pizza available. Suede playing on the sound system before Suede gig at the G Live too!
Decent beer. Recent name change is confusing - buy it still says it's the Albany on the windows!Recentish paint job is a bit odd - but this is an excellent pub for watching sports now.
Excellent staff, but almost no Beers on tap. Shouldn't have opened.
Owner should use imagination and buy in a ton of bottled beers instead.
Could be a nice pub
Popped in for a couple of drinks between shoping and and a cream tea at the nearby hotel. Two young ladies working on the bar were very friendly and helpful. Took time to chat with us and we never felt rushed.
Nice comfortable atmosphere and very clean.
Good spot for a simple pre-show meal (we were heading for G-Live). Decent food (we had a couple of burgers) and drinks.
Great service especially as we were a large booking. Friendly staff, good prices on food and drink. Look forward to coming back sometime.
