When we came in, we expect to have a good early dinner because the menu seems good. The waiter was not friendly at all. The food came, we ordered the Spicy Thai Beef Noodle and Sweet Chilli Seabass Rice. The fish was very fishy as if it has been kept in a freezer for ages!
It smells and the waiter has the audacity to say that “oh it’s fishy because its fish?”. Like fresh fish will not smell like that and first of all, no seabass will come in the size that you just served us. The waiter told us that we don’t have to pay for the sea bass dish and brought out an omelette for replacement. Absolute garbage
The soup on the other hand is giving me diarrhoea vibes. The chef just simple made a soy sauce and chilli soup. Beef was tough and the noodle was so little. I had to remove my noodle from the soup because it was so spicy. Please improve!! Such a bad experience
Starters were cold as sitting in the dumb waiter for 10 mins as they had no clue how to organise the orders. The mains arrived at virtually same time, also not particularly hot. My bao bun was ok but beef very chewy, sweet n sour stir fry main was tasteless and not warm. Wife’s tempura veg starry tasty but very cold. Here beef n rice meal was pretty ordinary and lacked any imagination, also not warm. Wouldn’t return or recommend.
A girls night out ruined. What can I say, we thought we'd try it as it's newly opened, and in a convenient location. However, to say we were disappointed is an understatement. First, they were not aware of our reservation, which my friend had booked in person. When I finally got a table, I had to ask for a menu which we ended up sharing between 5 of us! We ordered and ended up having to ask repeatedly where our food was. They didn't check on us or apologise for an over an hour wait. When they did arrive, one was missing and it seemed like they had been sitting there for at and had been slopped into the plates..not to mention none of the dishes tasted authentic. We had ordered various noodle dishes and they were not up to our expectations. Beware: don't trust what they say. They recommended a noodle saying it was similar to Pad Thai noodles and ended up being completely different in look and spiciness level to my friend's disappointment. They also said there would be chili inside and instead it was full of black pepper! Another friend ordered Pad Thai and it tasted nothing like it. And don't even think about ordering papaya salad.. was hardly any papaya and was so spicy I had a coughing fit after trying one mouthful since I was so famished waiting for my meal! We also asked if the fruit juices were fresh - they said yes they were but they ended up tasting like they were straight of a can (all three of them: fruit punch, aloe, and coconut). They use 'stock images' on the menu so some are not even actually representative of the items so can be quite confusing! My meal arrived very late after everyone got theirs - at least 30 min. To give you an idea of time, I arrived at 7.30pm, we ordered before 8pm, enquired at 8.15pm and still hadn't got all our meals at 9pm. We had to keep chasing them (2-3 times) while we got no update and they served other customers who had arrived after us. We asked to speak to the manager around 9.20pm since I still hadn't received my meal and we were appalled by the service and food quality.. but like the serving staff, the manager just gave a bunch of excuses nor gave any apology. Luckily, we didn't end up having to pay but needless to say, we won't be coming back. Too bad as I LOVE Thai food and like to support local businesses. I'm really not sure how they already have 3 locations..
Unfortunately, two nasty women at the table beside us had the gal to make derisive comments under their breath as we left, calling is 'b*t***s' 'trying it on'. First, who are you to judge when you have no idea what we experienced? Two, maybe you absolutely have no taste buds and wouldn't know 'good' food if it slapped you in the face. Third, thanks for making an already poor experience worse! Maybe you are just jealous we are younger and good looking. Either way, you shouldn't be bashing other women when you have absolutely no clue and no class.
We ended not finishing our meals (mine happened to arrive just as we were fed up and about to leave). We were obviously unsatiated so opted to go to Time 4 Thai which was the BEST decision of the night. It was truly night and day.. peaceful tasteful decor and ambiance, delicious genuine thai food, respectful staff and prompt service..what more can you ask for? Not sure why places like this aren't as busy but we highly recommend! So my advice is to avoid Noodle N' Rice if you know what's good for you!
Wasn't great. Had hoisin duck and the beef bao buns to start although for some reason everything was bought out together. The duck bao were good but the beef ones were awful. They were more like beef bullets and were stone cold. My teriyaki salmon was inedible. The salmon was so dry, it was literally hard (I suspect it was left over from lunch). It was also tiny, literally the size of 2 of my fingers. The dish was drowning in a teriyaki sauce that was so salty I could not eat it. The only thing I managed was some of the rice. The other dish was a katsu curry. My daughter said she liked it; good sized pieces of moist chicken, however the curry was watered down. Not value for money and would not recommend. Will not be returning.
Excellent tasty food. King prawn Masaman curry was absolutely perfect, portion size …. just right.
I had lunch at this restaurant today and it was fantastic! The food, including the boa buns, veg fried rice, and veg pad Thai, was absolutely delicious. The standout, however, was the exceptional service provided by a gentleman wearing glasses. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and top-notch service!
We ordered mostly vegetarian dishes. The food was very good but definitely not authentic Thai (having been to Thailand before). The tip felt a bit pushed at the end.
Tried this place as it was right beside my hotel. The reviews sketched me out but I wanted the ramen so I gave it a shot. Was served right away and my food came out in about 10 mins and the waitress checked on me after my first few bites. It was exactly what I wanted and tasted great! Only critique would be the menu images do not match what you get, however, if you're not making it yourself you never know what you're gonna get. I'd say my needs were satisfied and that the reviews on this place are unfair and likely made by picky tourists who need constant attention and service.
