SUPERMARKET. Last visited 2024. It is large in size and has a lot to offer. There is a large car park with various shops on the side. Staff are reasonably friendly and the tills are easy to use.
This store has seriously gone downhill. There were only 2 tills open and they then closed one. Leaving a queue of over 10 waiting with trolleys. After about 10 minutes they put a call out for relief staff and no one came. The lady that served me was very nice and apologised for the wait, which I said it wasn’t her fault.
On leaving the store there were three young supervisors manning the basket self serve tills who were just chatting and doing no work.
I don’t expect the checkout to take longer than the actual shop. I will go elsewhere in future.
It's a super market, that we are all very familiar with. It does carry a wide range of goods and produce which is convenient. However I really dislike the two tier pricing system Tesco had brought in. With one price for " card members " and a higher price for those that do not have a " club card " its difficult to know exactly how much things costs
By using a members/card you are giving a lot of information, to not only Tesco, but to other retailer. The data collected is a sellable commodity because it dhows peoples shopping/ spending habits
In my opinion I'm not willing save a few pennies in return for information abour me being colleted in this way.
On a more positive note the little cafe , that's upstairs ( yes there is a customer lift) at the Wragby Road Tesco is disabled friendly, has a goid range of special dietary needs food at a reasonable priced ,
Would have rated higher, but only 3 checkouts running on that size of store during a very busy time running! Really is a joke having spent that amount of money at Tesco is it too much to ask for service checkouts to be open.
Always a good friendly, helpful staff in here. Probably job anxiety worrying the new Aldi is coming round the corner soon.
Bought my Dog's Chicken thighs for her dinner ok but as I'd left my Clubcard indoors couldn't buy all my big shop, normal stuff with the cheaper Clubcard prices, so went to Aldi in Louth instead to save a few quid. Shame.
Friendly , good selection, good cafe and most important, they shop takes cash !
This is a massive store which means a lot of walking to get from fresh fruit to squashes and fizzy water. I have mobility issues due to having had a recent operation and I am disappointed that they dont have mobility scooters available for customer use. My local Tesco is tiny in comparison, but has a scooter. My most recent visit was difficult due to having to walk so far to get everything I needed. I also ran into an issue by the chiller section where I was unable to reach items as the section was blocked by a group of Tesco employees discussing Tinder. They were oblivious to their surroundings, totally focused on their phones and chatting about the merits of that dating website. I couldn't reach the items I wanted and not one of the staff members moved to let customers shop. Very unprofessional.
Ugh . How often & when in 2023 were Viennese whirls @ a 'REGULAR' price of £2.50?? Clubcard discount now at 1.25
Trading standards - Tesco please clarify your use of the word 'regular'.
Customers do have memory and brains / ability to recall or know when something is not right...
Awaiting reply as asked store manager of 25yra, he could not recall.
Able to recall regular price of £1.50.
Dislike condescending marketing approaches.
