At first glance the rather isolated Tattenhall village is an unlikely setting for an Indian restaurant, as there doesn't appear to be a large enough population in the area to support it and there's little if any passing trade.
That said, on our mid week visit it was slightly busier than I was expecting. Set in what I assume was once an old pub the have done well to make the layout work. As for the decor it's 'old school', a bit dated but clean and tidy. The staff are pleasant but they were preoccupied with their Food Standards visit which unfortunately also resulted in a delay on the food.
Not a problem as it was worth waiting for. We really enjoyed our meal and couldn't find fault with anything, very tasty and typically Bangladeshi so there will be few surprises, however there are a few few special dishes if you want to be adventurous.
The drinks were as you would expect except for the pricing, I don't think you will find a cheaper glass of house red anywhere.
Overall a very good experience.
Tattenhall spice is a Bangladeshi restaurant.... they do have the usual British Indian dishes tikka masala, Madras etc... but this lovely restaurant with really lovely staff have a beautiful range of Bangladeshi starters mains side dishes breads etc... really exquisite tasty food.
Really nice people run the restaurant, my daughter loves calling in the poppadom place and they're always really welcoming. Chicken tikka massala is just right. It's my favourite place for a take away, eating in is a nice experience too, it's quiet and relaxed and they're always very attentive
Get takeaway from them quite a lot, never had any issues. Good food.
What a great find!! We had a wonderful authentic meal here... All the dishes were delicious and they even prepared a special surprise dish for me, which was a real winner! Raj and his team were great - the service was excellent!!.. Really good value for money and can't recommend this place enough!!
Went for our nephews 18 th birthday meal fantastic food wonderfull and quick service and very reasonable priced all in all fantastic night out
Gem of a find in this small village. Great food and great service. If best buy then you should go.
We have been here a number of times and have not been disappointed.
The food and service are excellent and prices are very reasonable for food and drink.
We tend to eat early in the evening so the restaurant is fairly quite hence 4 stars for atmosphere. Recommended.
