Visited 08/07/23 for a late lunchtime snack. Warm welcome from staff.
2 x cream teas. Two nice large homemade scones each with cream and jam.
Coffee as ordered.
We came across this side of the river as it is quieter; the other side all the cafe's are packed on this Saturday afternoon.
Staff nice too.
No loos available, only the ones over the road.
Conveniently the cafe is next to where the buses terminate, so good place to have a drink while waiting.
This cafe is a gem at the end of the road.
It’s near the car park and the bus stop and has some seating across the street.
The staff are very kind and accommodating.
The coffee was absolutely delicious and if there is anyone (or the owners please!) who knows what coffee they use, then please let me know!!
The food was really good and really pleased we went!
We were visiting Looe Town yesterday feeling hungry. Not knowing the place very well we saw another cafe opposite the car park and had a cooked breakfast there. We walked around town afterwards and found TASTY CORNER. I can't believe the difference of the atmosphere, prices of foods, excellent views, cleanliness, the warmth of their place and the friendly staff compared to the other cafe we had breakfast previously. We enjoyed our freshly cooked scones and are very happy we found Tasty Corner, we will be going back there again for a tasty full English breakfast.
Absolutely recommend the tasty corner cafe, the staff were excellent, the food, amazing, highly recommend it if you are in looe Cornwall. Dog friendly, even the dog treats, £20 each, lol only joking, they will know who we are from that little joke, please go, support them, Sunday roast with complementary wine, can't go wrong.
Lovely mug of tea. Views of east Looe. Close to the bus stops and ferry (2021)
We revisited here June 2023 twice. One for lunch and then again a day or so later for a cream tea. I had a ploughman's salad and my husband had crab salad. Both very enjoyable. The cream tea was amazing and very large so don't eat beforehand.
Wanted me to wear a mask to walk *four feet* to the nearest table inside the door (I'm disabled, walk with a stick and had to walk back to the car to get a mask). Image attached to show distance from my seat to the door. Staff unable to understand "leave the teabag out". Irrespective of the quality of the food - which hasn't arrived yet - I'm struggling to score higher than this.
Plus they don't have toilets, they direct you over the road to some public toilets (probably 50p to pee), not ideal if you have bladder / continence issues.
Nice location thought the road can be a little busy. Food is ok, coffee is good. Nice for a pit-on our doggy walk. We alway sit outside because it's easier with the dogs. I'm not actually sure if they are welcome inside?
Last day in Looe and we finally got to drop into the Tasty Corner. Quick service, no messing about and the food was tasty!
I'd have liked marginally bigger sausages but that's just me!
