Best KPortal Reviews

This place was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the mixed grill and it met all expectations. The meat arrived on a hot sizzling platter, and it tasted great. If you want good, traditional Pakistani food, this is a wonderful little restaurant that does the job. It might not have posh ambience, but it does have really nice spicy food that hits the spot! And for a price point you can’t argue with
During my recent visit to Taste of Lahore in Watford, I found myself immersed in the rich flavors and aromatic spices synonymous with Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant, known for its authentic dishes, lived up to its reputation, especially when it came to their kebabs.
The kebabs were nothing short of spectacular, offering a perfect blend of spices and herbs that were both tantalizing and memorable. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s expertise in balancing flavors, ensuring that the meat was succulent, tender, and cooked to perfection. The accompanying sauces and sides complemented the kebabs beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience.
However, while the culinary experience was exceptional, the service aspect left something to be desired. The wait times were longer than anticipated, and there seemed to be a lack of coordination among the staff, leading to some confusion and delays in service. While the staff were courteous, the efficiency and attentiveness needed to match the high standards set by the food were not consistently met.
Despite these service challenges, the quality and flavor of the food at Taste of Lahore in Watford make it a worthwhile destination for anyone seeking authentic Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant’s ability to deliver such delightful kebabs speaks volumes about their commitment to culinary excellence.
In conclusion, my experience at Taste of Lahore was largely positive, primarily due to the exceptional taste of their kebabs. With some improvements in service, I believe this restaurant has the potential to offer a truly outstanding dining experience. Therefore, I give Taste of Lahore in Watford a well-earned four-star review, acknowledging their culinary strengths while noting the area where there is room for improvement.
The restaurant is conveniently located at one corner of High Street. The staffs are polite and helpful and the food is generally well cooked and delicious but the following points worth noting.
* the service is very slow
* the Nan bread was served cold
* the Paratha served was not really a Pratha but just a whole meal flour thick chapati with oil spread on it. What a cheat! We have eaten in Lahore. It definitely was not a Lahori authentic Paratha. The chef must take some lessons.
* Paya dish was cooked well
* Lamb masala was also cooked good.
* they don’t serve tap water! This was totally bizarre and never experienced before.
I am more than impressed. The food was delicious and the staff was very kind. Food arrived fast and it tasted just great and very fresh. I was kinda hesitant after reading the other reviews about the staff being unfriendly but I can’t agree in any way. These people were more than welcoming and extremely nice!
Fantastic food, had the mix grill and everything tasted superb. Looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes. Staff were very friendly! Only comment is the toilets could be a little cleaner.
Food wasn't great for the price paid, ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Karahi but didn't meet the expectations we were hoping for.
Service was a little slow and the restaurant does not offer tap water for drinking which is unusual as never experienced that before.
Wasn't very busy at the time so had plenty of time for us, but was disappointing.
Watford Branch. Absolutely superb food cooked well and to personal preferences. Wonderfully delicious and cooked in a reasonable amount of time. Service was excellent though this place gets EXTREMELY busy. Great seating and surrounding. Highly recommend.
Note .. Having eaten at both the Harrow and Watford branches - I can confirm that the Watford Branch is definitely far better in terms of food.
I was shopping at the Atria shopping center in Watford. I wanted to eat with a friend, an authentic lunch and not food of the Mall. I read good reviews about this restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was quite busy, mainly with people dressed in traditional clothes, who miss home cooking. It was a sign that the food would be delicious. The friends ordered 2 dishes of Kebab, and I had a dish of Chicken Tikka on Naan. The service was fast and efficient, the food was very tasty. The price was low and it felt like I got good value for money. Highly recommended place.
