We have never been in this tearoom before. Never new it was there.
A nice little tea room full of fresh food & home bakes.
We had soup & sandwich. Soup today was carrot & red pepper. It was more red pepper than carrot, which I say not in a bad way. It was really nice. I bought a double shortbread home bake to take away as could not have eaten anymore. Have since eaten this with tea. I can absolutely recommend it. One of the best I have had in a long time ????.

Quick service and excellent selection of high energy cakes that you really really need after a big ride.
I had a small breakfast and it was delicious. Generpus portions, free refills of tea and coffee and toast galore!
Lunching alone today, popped in and was greeted warmly by lovely friendly ladies.
Delicious home made carrot soup with a very good warm cheese scone. The chicken pinwheels with chips and beans certainly hit the spot, and the home made cakes are the best I have tasted in a long while!
Coffee was delicious too. Well done TTR, I’ll be back again.
On our way to Loch Ness, we stopped for breakfast at this inconspicuous little restaurant. We ordered breakfast for 3 people. Full breakfast, small breakfast and omelette. Both me, my partner and her dad were delighted with the size of the portions which tasted delicious. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate for my beloved partner were delicious. Now we know that we have to visit this place again, this time to try the cake and coffee.
Popped in for lunch with the family today, we had the roast beef which was amazing! Our son had the kids meal which was also excellent.
Will be sure to come in past more often for a cake and coffee while at Tarland Trails.
If you’re biking , do NOT go past this fantastic wee tea room. Cakes, coffee , panini, soup all to do for after hard day biking . ( they cater for all types of dietary requirement’s )
Lovely food and great coffee. Staff are friendly and chatty. Will certainly be back to work my way through all the different cakes.
