Fabulous local pub serving great beers.Its not a food pub, but nuts are always in evidence! Lovely atmosphere and unique vibe. What the owner doesn't know about beer you won't want to drink, all the beers are well kept, staff are friendly and knowledge too. Beer flights available. We will definitely be back. Don't feed Blossom (King Charles Spaniel)

Definitely worth a visit when in Alnwick
Cracking little pub , found it by looking at a board in the street. Not busy, very quiet however the jukebox was playing and the ale was very good . Also the fire was lite keeping the room nice and cosy.
Great place, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff (owner?), the dog!! Worth a visit. It was very quite when we went there but we're told it does get busy very often.
Astonishingly good pub with a great atmosphere and a good welcoming. Me and the dog were strangers in town looking for a good pint whilst my wife did a bit of shopping. Really well served beer and the pub has a well deserved listing in the good beer guide.
Lovely ale house. Quirky with a tree in the centre of the room. Ever-changing range of excellently kept real ales. Single room. Very proud landlord, keen to show off the beers. Best beers in Alnwick
The Tanners Arms is a quirky, characterful, 19th century, dog friendly, food-free, pub which opens early afternoon. It serves locally brewed real ale.
Mostly open stone walls and flagstone flooring, with the quirkiness confirmed by the fact that there is a tree in the middle of the pub!
Our dog Glen was very warmly welcomed by the barman, as were we, but thankfully the barman only tickled Glen!
