2 months ago I had a bad experience with this restaurant but the owner was super kind and I decided to give them another chance.
They did way better and I appreciate the effort they put into the order.
Their customer service is great and good communication.
The packages were perfectly sealed and nothing spilled.
I think there could still be some room for improvement in the combination of flavours.
this place is amazing, its a wee hut tucked out of the way, but don’t let looks decisive you, this is a place that serves amazing sushi for a good price, I absolutely love this place, too marks
All the other reviews about authenticity... Trust a gal from the region instead! This was all around ???? and shocking. Ordered 2 boxes of sushi, mostly uramaki and some nigiri and was shocked by the flavour. Wasabi was watery!!! Come on folks get the ratio of water to wasabi powder right at least :( The most outrageous was the avocado in the sushi that was so unripe it could have been a cucumber. Actually crunchy.
The crunch theme is continued on the uramaki where a plausibly edible sushi is brazenly graced with an onslaught of crunch bits (see photos) which based on my 2-year stint as a chef at an omakase restaurant, is an atrocity.
Finally my cat rejected the salmon sashimi on the nigiri, when she would fight me for it when I get a takeaway such as from wasabi. 'nuff said...
Too good to go portions are SMALL and the picture shows 2 orders of too good to go, not one.
UPDATE: I've attached an image of the restaurant's response to this review whereby they claim I lied (about what??) and explained that I could be sued for it...bring it on...is this even standard business practice? Odd... Also I've just seen that most 5* reviews are posted by profiles with just one or two reviews.
This was one of the worst orders ive ever had. A simple salmon teriyaki looked like vomit. The salmon texture was like jelly, looked grey and tasted off and the rice was soaked like teriyaki congee. None of it was edible. I really should have read the reviews before ordering.
Please improve your food quality. Its unbelievably poor.
Ordered ramen on Uber Eats and it was just bad. The soup had 0 flavour. The katsu chicken was added to the soup so it arrived completely sodden. Who on earth put broccoli, cucumber and whole spinach leaved in ramen?! Definitely would not recommend. Sorry.
Best sushi experience. The food is really fresh and tasty.
Lacklustre chicken nuggets on rice - this is their karaage. Highly disappointing, don't waste your money. They went to Morleys and got this as a side and then put it on rice and charged me £8. 5 soggy small chicken pieces on rice.
Disgusting and disgraceful by the restaurant.
This place is a scam. We ordered sushi for collection and there was no restaurant, only a dirty shack on a dodgy side road. The sushi went straight to the bin, rotten smell, inedible, and definitely not worth food poisoning. We even called them afterword to complain and their answer was “I made it fresh, the fish may have been cooked by the rice”. Given the previous high reviews, I suspect the “real” restaurant has been shut down, in fact they are only open for take away. Stay away if you don’t want to get robbed and get sick.
