Good. Delicious curry with warm biryani and Naan.
I’ve been to India and had some amazing Indian food in my life. I certainly did not expect to have Indian food of this caliber on a small town in Islay of all places.
Absolutely incredible food. Very fresh tasting, not too heavy, and with a proper spicy kick. Even the naan and paratha were great.
The lamb biryani was among the best executed I’ve ever had. Usually lamb tends to be overcooked but here it was tender and flavorful.
A well deserved 5/5
Definitely one of the islands gems, a must try if you like your currys and its surprisingly as good as the currys you get on the mainland if not better, if I do say so myself. :))
Excellent food, and extremely helpful when I said I was vegan. Really excellent, and a very pleasant surprise after other plans had fallen through.
Incredibly thoughtful and kind staff, went out of their way to make us feel at home after a long journey. Arrived late on a Sunday night and were just as attentive to us as if we arrived during normal hours. Food was tasty and had a wide range of options.
Can’t comment on the food as we rang up to book a table for my parents the following night. We were told we didn’t need to book, we could just come and get a table as there are usually tables available around 7pm. So we based our whole day around making sure we would be be in Bowmore on time.
When we did get there, the owner basically tried to talk us out of eating there. Said he was too busy with takeaway orders and that we’d be waiting ages. I admire his honesty but would have been nice of him to tell us that he doesn’t really cater to people wanting to eat in. It’s in such a nice location that if he put a bit of effort into the aesthetic of the interior, he could become a hotspot for local and holiday diners.
Called in early evening I was the only in for the first 20 minutes. Food was piping hot and the service very quick. They don't serve alcohol but I'm not sure if you can take your own.
A really lovely fresh and spicy curry the staff were super friendly also, shout out to Rayhan :)
