Very much cafe canteen style no frills- just simple but well worth it. food is tasty, clean and balanced. portions are very generous, you can eat like a king and pay under £20. service is friendly, super quick. This is a little hidden treat near Woolwich station. Ill be back!
Was a strange experience, very basic decor with benches and tables, nothing like a normal Chinese restaurant I'd ever been to before. Counter service but the food was absolutely delicious with massive portion sizes. Would definitely recommend a visit, take away boxes available for a small fee if you can't finish everything.
Very casual noodle bar style order and pay at counter. Ordered a Won Ton Noodle Soup £7.50 as I wanted won ton egg noodles, the servers were very nice & helpful ???????? Large portion size ???? Looks like they were handmade pork & prawn Won Ton Dumplings which would have been lovely, but the quality of pork was so poor it was kind of smelly so I was quite disappointed since they are meant to be the star of the dish...???? Also not sure why there was corriander in my noodle soup (Not traditional)?? ???? Overall okay.
A very nice place where you can eat as a family or group. The meal, I bought was really nice and delicious. The staff were nice but the language barrier was an issue although not so ambiguous. They were missing orders and had to keep preparing and they were patient with us and we all found it funny. We enjoyed the prawn fried rice and noodle chow mein.
Very old business which has operated for over thirty years ..very simple bench style layout inside . The menu is simple with food churned out at a reasonable time frame even when they are busy . Must understand this is a cash only operation with the closest bank machine attached to the strain station one minute walk away .portion size is big with the average price between 7.50 - 10 pounds . Tastes very good .
Greasy-spoon portion size G.O.A.T. ???? this is the size of their tofu starter!!
You definitely won’t go hungry here, a lot to eat, but they make it easy when the food tastes so good.
Really really poor quality of chicken. Rubber. I think it's the precooked Brazilian stuff you can find in really bottom of the barrel takeaways. Prices were standard, food was well below standard. Staff quite rude to other customers. Cash only too. I won't be back... And I'm amazed that this has an average of 4 stars.
I visited last week in an effort to cheer myself up. The restaurant has more a kind of feel of a Chinese cafe than Chinese restaurant. You need to order at the counter, don't expect serving staff to take your order.
I had chicken and sweetcorn soup, deep fried spare ribs, sesame prawn toast, beef curry and fried rice. Yes, I know I concentrated on starters, but it is what it is! :-)
The food arrived quickly and all within a few minutes, starters and main course.
The soup was nice and hot, but lacked chicken and sweetcorn. I mean, it had none. Nothing.
The ribs were good.
The sesame prawn toast had a very thin prawn coating. So thin that I ended up skimming the prawn off the bread.
And finally the main course. Well, what can I say? It was a large helping with plenty of rice, onion, curry sauce. Not much in the way of beef.
Now, I must say that the service was quick. The serving ladies were polite and nice. The price was £27. The place was frequented by a number of Chinese people, so perhaps it's down to my expectations, but I would have paid more money to actually get chicken and sweetcorn in my chicken and sweetcorn soup, prawn on my sesame prawn toast, oh and beef in my beef curry.
