What a find. Dog friendly, gluten-free, and delicious food ????
Not your average fry-up with a selection of yummy avocado halloumi and more. I am a regular now!
Taart has had a wonderful atmosphere each and every time I have visited. The aesthetics, the smell of coffee and food cooking, the sounds of the kitchen, the local art on the walls (the everything!) work in unison to create a unique feel. Somehow every element of Taart perfectly creates a calming and humble feel - a rare find for a café on the doorstep of a main road.
The staff are helpful, kind and wholeheartedly welcoming. The coffee is good, and the range of food is well-thought out and lovingly made.
Covid-19: social distancing with separated tables, and one way system. Observed cleaning after each customer during my visit and it was done very thoroughly. Screens for PP measures at counter. Hand jel available at entrance.
Food pictured: Pancakes, and Potato Hash.
I just popped in, close to closing, but was made to feel incredibly welcome and was grateful to be accommodated. I ordered a delicious rarebit and pot of tea, with a slab of flapjack for the road.
Relaxing space, tuneful but not intrusive soundtrack and quite simply lovely.
I cannot sing the praises of Taart and the owners highly enough, I only wish I was more local.
This is such a welcoming little cafe. We try to avoid the main motorway services and always look for something off the beaten track, this cafe didn't disappoint. Great food and service, lovely trendy decor. We were so glad we went there as when we got up the road and saw the traffic jam trying to get in the main services we had a lucky escape!
We had a lovely breakfast here recently. We stayed at The Walnut Tree and this is a 10 second walk.
Great coffee. Great tea. Lovely breakfast. The space is light and airy. Would be happy to come back!
Delicious food and very friendly service. A lovely warm atmosphere as soon as we walked in. It was clear that a lot of locals are regular visitors and who can blame them - I would go there for my lunch every day if I lived more locally, but it's a long drive from South Yorkshire!
Absolutely brilliant local cafe. Lovely decor and ambience plus a warm welcome and dog friendly. Had the veggie breakfast with sourdough toast. All freshly cooked and served on hot plates. Totally delicious. Coffee was great too. Will definitely return!
Fantastic find! Had planned visiting a different cafe but they were full which was our gain. Delightful ladies with excellent service and lovely refreshments.
