T and G automotive is un-parallel to any other business of its kind regarding everything from the customer service to there outstanding knowledge.
Recently my PFL rs3 developed the dreaded whine pointing towards the common transfer box failure that these cars suffer with. I quickly discovered via relevant Facebook groups that T and G was the place to go, I have them a call and they advised how I should go about diagnosing the problem. The results where clear that there was definitely an issue there and following another phone call I was swiftly booked in, where I then made the 3.5-4 hour journey with the car on the trailer.
Once arriving at T and G everyone was friendly, extremely knowledgable and very helpful. the car was quickly on the ramp and the oil dropped to discover there was in fact a small amount of metal filings in the oil but it was still thought the box itself could be saved. However once Andy had further stripped down the box it proved the the gears themselves where in fact worn and the transfer box was not fit to go back in the car. After a few options where discussed Sam was then straight on the case to order me a new transfer box. On the short road test it become apparent that the front callipers on the car where seizing slightly which was quickly sorted by Andy whilst overcoming some previous shoddy workmanship. Sam then also took the time to go through the warranty claim process and then went above and beyond chasing the company involved for 3 weeks !!
I cannot recommend these guys enough and there’s no doubt if I had a similar problem with this car or any other I wouldn’t bat and eye lid to make 4hr journey to use them.
I was booked in to have my timing done, did a great job, all in a day. I was quoted a very good price too compared to other local garages. Very friendly people, very professional business. Very knowledgeable mechanics. Would 100% recommend to anyone for any car work and MOT.
Recently went to these guys as I had and ABS light come on, really genuine bunch that made the whole process easy. Was so pleased with the service that I booked it in for an MOT with them for a couple of weeks later which was just as painless. Can't recommend them enough, will definitely be coming back again ????
After having an extortionate quote from another local garage my neighbour recommended T&G and I’m glad they did. I have never EVER had such good service. Very person centred, treat the customer with respect , advise you right and if you have worn parts they are happy to show you said parts u like other places and to top it off the quote they gave was half the price of the other place . All work to a professional standard and they have a customer for life . I will be taking all three vehicles here so please do not hesitate to use their services , you won’t be disappointed
I can’t recommend this place enough! I’d never go anywhere else. Such a lovely group of professional people. They even got me in last minute and sorted my problem straight away. Best garage experience I’ve ever had.
You can tell these guys take pride in their work, had my RS3 transfer box refurbished, and rectified some other issues I had with the car. They even stayed open late for a few hours to ensure the job was completed fully on the day. Wouldn’t hesitate in using these again 10/10
We’ve been using T&G Automotive, for just over a year now. Took our Classic (1964) Morris Minor because hubby had treated her badly and drowned her with oil, they soon got her sorted and we take our “normal” car too. Always a pleasant experience, nothing too much trouble, thank you ????
After hearing from a few rs3 mad friends and someone who had been to the garage themselves I called them and as soon as a spoke to them I knew they where proper and know what there doin they done a great job on my rs3 today saved me a few pounds too great garage and great people service 1st class will be back when ever needed thanks Kyle
