This has clearly gone downhill since changing ownership. Poor quality and variety of products. £3 for a one sausage cob is ridiculous. The sausage was cut diagonally whichwas weird. It was tasty but it wasn't warm. Cob was dry and clearly wasn't from todays batch. We will not be returning
Update: Nothing personal, but since it's been taken over the quality/range of products available has gone seriously downhill. I don't think the previous offering was fully appreciated. Unfortunately I can see it going bust unless they employ an artisan baker, as the current offering can't compete with the likes of Greggs/Subway etc. Shame.

Good quality bread and cakes at a fair price. Just hope the new owners keep it that way!
They just need to get rid of some of the rude and disengaged staff who have been there far too long for their own good (and ours).
So good that I couldn't even wait to eat it before taking a pic! Lovely cobs and jam doughnuts. Great service, prices and yummy! Minimum £3 spend for card payments, but I guarantee you will want to spend more than that at this amazing bakery! Particularly recommend this place if you like very generously filled crusty cobs/rolls!!!
As already mentioned.new owners.prices have doubled.food has halved amount.been going must be 20yrs.wont be walking through the door again.£4.20 for a sausage and half on a small baguette.disgraceful as customers know it was half that with everything on it
Great local bakery, friendly staff and very nice selection of breads and pastries. The sandwiches are fresh and a generous portion!
Fabulous filled cobs at a very good price. Make sure you get there early if you want a filled cob as lots of fillings sell out fast! They serve hot breakfast fillings too in the morning. There’s always a queue but it moves pretty fast. There’s a minimum £3 spend on card but normally I’m able to hit this limit.
Best iced buns!! I always stock up on their delicious fresh bread when i’m up visiting family in this area. It’s a family run bakery so I like supporting this place over getting my bread (and bakery treats) from chain supermarkets! It’s worth the extra stop.
Love this bakery’s bread and pastry’s. All a good prices so it makes it affordable to have a breakfast treat of a hot cob with bacon sausage or whatever combination. The granary loaf is so delicious I go every week from Birstall to syston to get one.
