This is a very poor chip shop. Bought chicken and mushrooms pie & chips and they were disgustingly very poor. Will never step foot in that total rubbish chip shop. I mentioned to the person behind the counter how poor the food was and refuse to acknowledge me. He was basically rude when I spend £6 of my hard earned money. Stay away it rubbish.
I popped in one night last week for battered chips and a battered sausage. The chips were good, and the battered sausage was not so good. They had to cook the sausage from fresh as they didn't have any in the display case. I wouldn't have minded waiting another 5 mins as the batter on the sausage wasn't crispy in the slightest. I ended up cooking it in the air fryer for 5 mins to crisp it up - still wasn't perfect as air fryers don't beat deep fat fryers for batter.
I asked for a battered sausage and chips not a soggy pancake wrapped round a sausage, chips were soggy and covered in more soggy batter, never again
Had fish and chips...WORST I HAVE HAD ,DRIPPING IN FAT .

Our first visit here since the refurb and the place looks amazing.
Let’s not forget the fish and chips. Wow it was some of the best we have ever had. The batter was crispy and the fish was lovely and white.

Great customer service and the food was incredible recommended the donner meat and chips gets you loads for your money would definitely recomend
The staff are very friendly and efficient. The prices have rocketed recently - I suppose they had to to pay for the recent refurbishment. It's a very expensive chippy nowadays.
I hoped going at lunch would mean fresh chips - they were cooked in front of me. However they were inedible and went in the bin. They were cooked externally but internally they were all rock hard and not cooked properly.
Pie stale, hard around edges and chips were cold. Not the first time. Do not recommend
