So basically everything is on the spot and well managed in Swiss Butter:
1. Staff & service: Well mannered and welcoming staff even though I did attend the place on a very busy day. That shows they are well trained and prepared to welcome you any time with the best service.
2. Food and prices: Food did come very fast and well represented. I did enjoy the quality and the secret sauce they have with their steak. It is worth the price.
3. Unique and cool atmosphere: if you are looking for an energetic active place with a vibrant atmosphere I would say this is the right place.
I like the building design.
Definitely give it a try.
Myself and two friends ate here for a birthday meal and we had a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely amazing, my friends had the steak and fries while I had the salmon, everything tasted perfect and the meals all come with this delicious sauce that we couldn’t get enough of, it was so good with the bread too and the portion sizes were great! We also had two of the deserts to share just to try them out and they were sooo yummy! We had a brilliant time and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, thank you to our lovely server Miguel who only enhanced our experience! My only tiny improvement would be the table sizes ???? but overall I highly highly recommend, great value for money and we didn’t have to wait to get in at all!
This restaurant offers exceptional value for what you receive! In a city like London, where dining out often means paying exorbitant prices for meager portions, Swiss Butter stands out. For just £19, you can indulge in a sumptuous butter steak accompanied by a generous serving of fries, four slices of baguette, and a fresh salad.
To complement the meal, I opted for a non-alcoholic beverage priced at £6. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. They were readily available to assist and engage in conversation.
The ambience on a Thursday evening was delightful. Despite the restaurant being full, it wasn't overly crowded, and there were no queues, ensuring prompt seating. I look forward to returning to Swiss Butter in the future.
Dove into this steak dinner that's been getting some buzz lately. The steak was okay, had that nice sear on the outside, but a bit on the chewy side. Didn't quite live up to all the chatter about it. As for the dessert, it was a treat for sure, but brace yourself, it's rich. That caramel sauce was thick, sweet, and draped over the ice cream like a blanket. Felt like indulgence overload by the last spoonful. It's the kind of dessert you want after a hard day, just know it's gonna sit with you for a while. Definitely for those days when you're not counting the calories.
Price was cheap but not worth the wait or the hype we attended today and I got a medium steak which took the longest to come and had to ask 3 times where it was whist the rest of my friends got their steak 10 minutes before mine and they all ordered well done/ medium well (which should’ve taken longer than mine) it arrived and the Swiss butter sauce was salty for my liking it definitely over powered the flavour of the steak (I got a rib eye steak - we all did) and it was a special occasion for my friend and was told to seat back down as we left as I asked for a special birthday treat for her but never received it before the bill came but the waiter insisted to wait a bit longer for the birthday treat with a candle however in the end it got delivered to the wrong table so we left very disappointed! And frustrated that they ask us to wait and bring the birthday treat to an incorrect table and the table who recieved the birthday treat wasn’t even their birthday as they did not know who to give the birthday treat to so they got a free dessert treat out of what we waited for. As I left I told the waiter it was sent the wrong table and told me it wasn’t! It was my first and last time ever going to Swiss butter.
I have been to this restaurant twice in a month since discovering it. A simple menu done perfectly with a delicious house steak sauce. The fries are cooked to perfection. I've tried both the sirloin and rib eye steaks and will be going back to try the rest. Fabulous service. It gets very busy very quickly but the staff don't make you feel rushed at all. Definitely great value for your money
Food was great and very affordable.
The waiters were slightly undertrained and a few mistakes happened during our visit.
Other than that, I would say it was the nicest lamb with buttery sauce I’ve ever had.
The steak at Swiss Butter was an absolute delight! Cooked to perfection, each bite was a burst of flavor and tenderness. The seasoning was impeccable, enhancing the natural richness of the meat. The presentation was equally impressive, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to quality. The dessert was equally impressive and delicious. We got both desserts that were on the menu and they were both the perfect treat. The attentive service and cozy ambiance further elevated the dining experience. A must-try for steak enthusiasts – Swiss Butter delivers a culinary masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression.
