Dave is a great man to know. Whenever I have car trouble, he's the only place I go. Always there to help & fix an issue without hesitation. He may seem grumpy, but that's just for show. He's a real sweetheart under all that layer or car dirt & oil ????
Mr David Is a well prepared mechanic.,....I had issues with my fuel pump and the driver shaft joint... He resolved those issues with incredibly low price. He dropped me to my home and picked me from there after completion of work.
Dave is an excellent mechanic and what sets him apart is that he treats your car as if it was his own.
An absolute legend and I couldn't recommend him enough.
I had a brake replacement issue that needed dealing with urgently on a Friday. I'd tried to do it myself and had got stuck. Dave had me in within an hour of my call and, after a well-deserved amount of teasing, did an absolutely brilliant job of sorting everything out, and troubleshooting another issue that came up due to a manufacturing mistake on one of my brake discs.
He's an absolute legend, and I will come to him for everything in the future. Couldn't recommend him more highly.
Visiting Cornwall and our engine splash shield came loose. Called Dave at Sweet's on the off chance he could help and the car was sorted 30 mins later. Absolute legend in turning this around so quickly and not ripping us off.
Had an incident nearby when steering/suspension failed and the car was disabled in a bad position Dave recovered us and fixed the car. All done within a couple of hours. We were really impressed with the service he provided. Dave was very calm and reassuring given we had just had a close call!! Highly recommended. Very grateful. Dave is a Star!!! Thank you!
I think that It is fair to say that Dave (Sweets Garage) more or less saved our holiday. We broke down on the way down here, RAC could not fix it and towed us to the campsite. The closest garage quoted £800 for the repair but then could not fit us in as they were fully booked up. They did phone Dave for us and that was our saving. Dave’s pragmatic approach resulted in a fully fixed car within 36 hours (part needed to be ordered) and all for £200 including recovery to his garage. What a star ????. Would happily and fully recommend.
The mechanic, Dave, is diamond. This is an old school engineer/mechanic who would rather repair than replace. He will not recommend expensive, unnecessary work just to line his pockets. I have no hesitation in recommending Sweets Garage for their skills, professional and economical service.
