Auch wer in Deutschland in den besten Sushi Restaurants ein und aus geht, sollte auf dem nächsten Bangkok Trip unbedingt bei Sushi Saito einkehren. Dazu braucht es allerdings eine sehr frühzeitige Reservierung, denn die lediglich maximal 18 Platze sind sehr begehrt. Eine klassische Speisekarte sucht man vergeblich, denn hier entscheidet der Koch - Omakase eben. Und das ist wirklich sehr gut. Nach einem kurzen Vorgeplänkel verschiedener kleiner Köstlichkeiten, gibt es eine phantastische Auswahl an Nigiri.. einzeln vor den Augen zubereitet und serviert vom Koch persönlich. Wer glaubt schon jeden Fisch gegessen zu haben, wird überrascht sein, was alles so kommt. Von Largehead Hairtail und Gizzard Shad habe ich vorher noch nie was gehört, da war der Seeigel noch einfach zu zuordnen.
Ein sehr aufmerksamer Service und eine unglaublich leckere Abfolge von köstlichen kleinen Gängen, macht Sushi Saito zu einem Muss für jeden Sushi Liebhaber in Bangkok.
Wichtig: sehr früh reservieren und offen sein für Omakase - allerdings werden Wünsche nach Möglichkeiten und Unverträglichkeiten selbstverständlich berücksichtigt.

Currently best omakase in town right now imo. Everything is fresh and up to standard. No faults .
I expected pretty much from this meal. Price performance is however disappointing for me. Rice is soft but too strongly seasoned. Some fish is not that fresh and overall too thinly sliced. The only memorable bites for me are nodokuro and uni from Rebun island. For uni bite, you have to add 2xxx on top of the set price, very expensive for the 5 pieces of uni. I’m sad.
