All food cooked to order
( a favourite is Whitby Scampi), good selection of food to choose from a fantastic place to be sitting outside in sun facing the sea and enjoying food, they have a lovely selection in ice cream parlour
lovely seaside cafe indoors too on colder days toasties, bacon rolls etc
Seaside cafe just soak up the atmosphere.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast and lunch menu.
Reasonable prices love the place
Popped in here to buy some water whilst using the public toilet block behind the business but walked out! The wait, staff attitude and cleanliness of this business was a disgrace. If you look at ‘Spittal Pavilion Motorhome & Camper Van Overnight parking - No caravans or tents’ listing and the Fun Centre, these are all the same location and all share similar reviews predominantly the rudeness of the staff. If you don’t like the public or hospitality industry, don’t do it!
Stood in the queue to be served. The woman behind the counter was extremely rude (didn't have time for making the milkshakes advertised) and was rude to my child who wanted to get a lolly. Safe to say we took our money elsewhere and went to Marshal's cafe in Berwick where we felt like our custom was welcome.
horrible lady serving the icecreams. we had spent the day at spittal, my family of 6, 3of who are disabled, spent a fortune in the cafe and the arcades. we had a taxi booked to pick us up at 3pm but it never arrived, by this time my battery had died on my phone, my young son who is disabled was crying to get home. I had went in and asked the lady if she could make a quick call to the taxi company, to which i was told bluntly.."i cant do it, im too busy" turned her back. i said to the younger girl working there we are stranded, she just shrugged her shoulders. Thank god the young guy in the arcade helped us out. Will never be back, horrible people, run down cafe and arcade. littered with rubbish and rat traps out the back, stinks, smells like chips and dogs dirt. Terrible atmosphere and service.
What a lovely location at the beach.
Obviously no competing cafes nearby, except for ice-cream vans.
Will give cafe a miss next time, really uncaring owners, poor quality overall. Ice cream vendors do appreciate custom more.
Food was awful, wouldn't go back, £14 for a fish and chips and a kids chicken nugget and chips, the fish looked like it had been microwaved or something, and the chicken nuggets looked severely undercooked, food was tasteless and the chips were soggy, even adding salt and vinegar couldn't flavour up this food. won't return to be honest. The place was dead and hardly any customers in, seemed to have went downhill since I came a few years ago...
Had a coffee and scone each. Very reasonable price and delicious. Quiet and peaceful with no SCREAMING kids!
