Staff weren't unfriendly.
Came here for chips and waited a while,(more than 10 minutes,) guess I came at the wrong time.
20p for a sachet of ketchup. Not gonna say more lol.
I know I ordered a small portion of chips, but the size is ridiculous, this isn't central London to be doing this.
Kinda mad I waited for crumb size portion. Any other chippy, the "small" portion size would be double.
If I'm in the area and want fish & chips, I won't come back here, it's definitely not a place I'd travel to for their food.
They seem really good with their regulars though, which I respect.
Despite waiting a good 30mins for the food to be supposedly cooked, everything was very soft, completely lacking any sort of crisp texture. Not returning, which is unfortunate as the owner seems nice.
The cod & chips were tasty and very fresh. The owner is so polite and amiable. I like that there's a big dining area where you can sit down and eat, if you do wish. There are vegan options to choose from the varied menu. I look forward to sampling the vegan burger on my next visit.
Terrible today. Always loved this place. Fish dry and overcooked. batter dry and brittle. Proof see photos. Disgusting. Whats happened?? Sorry but we are not returning

The best fish and chips of Sydenham. Fish is fresh, very white, cooked for you after you order it. The chips are absolutely delicious. Sauce wonderful. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. No problem for parking. And very cool stores in the same street. Try this once, you'll come back.
Great service, fish cooked to order. They have great battered sausages (certainly one of the best I've tasted) and a cheap as chips (sorry had to) Kids menu!
The portions are very generous and they're definitely a cheap option as take-aways go nowerdays.
It's CASH ONLY so make sure to visit the cash machine first.

So pleased that I have finally found a fish and chips shop who sell high quality ingredients, The cod is fresh, crispy but not oily and is served with nice crispy chips and not soggy like I’ve experienced at most fish and chips shops. The staff greeted me with a friendly face and overall I am very satisfied with my experience and I can guarantee that I will be a regular customer.
