I came in to pick up my elderly grandmother's prescription for her. While there they offered me free delivery to her house for all of her future prescriptions to make it easier on us. Brilliant service and very kind staff
Don’t know how they’re still open! There is a particular member of staff who is always rude and I honestly don’t know how she is still in a job! You always have to wait for ages for them to find your prescription, that’s when they can be bothered to look.
They also take an hour lunch break 1pm-2pm so any plans of going to get a prescription on your lunch break are a no go! You’ll have to fight the queues after work. If I could rate it less then one star I would!
I have been trying to get my regular medication now for 3 weeks arranged another prescription went to collect yesterday to be told we don’t have all of them gave me back my token prescription and told me to go somewhere else so rude this female was and made me feel as though I shouldn’t even be on my thyroid medication. The token prescription does not work in other chemist so now having to go through again 111 they’re a waste of space useless . I cannot express my disappointment and the risk of having palpitations with no medications now I’m away on break in Devon
This Pharmacy has been unfairly destroyed on Google reviews due to the ridiculous NHS and the, not fit for purpose Stokewood surgery and their Common Purpose cadet staff . The reason I am posting this review is because it is true. The reviews on Google should reflect more than just the anger of the local people who get upset due to the NHS and the idiots who work at the surgery next door. Oh and let us not forget the social media hate campaign launched by those with the Eastleigh mentality.
This place is an absolute disgrace. They close without warning and do not match advertised opening hours (too many times we have gone to collect urgent regular medication only to find it closed when it should be open). When they are open they are slow and chaotic. The inside of the store looks like it's been broken into with boxes and medication everywhere including the shop floor. I can't think of many times I've been to collect my medication where there hasn't been a minimum 20 minute wait (often longer). Staff can be rude and while I understand they are stressed but it's not the customers fault that they are incapable of working efficiently or effectively. This is not a small independent convenience store it's a large chain pharmacy and their actions seriously affect people's health. They have a responsibility to patients that they are not meeting. Not even close.
This is a woeful pharmacy that is putting patients' welfare and safety at risk with their constant closing without notice and a painfully slow delivery of meds that often take over a week to process.
The staff there are rude and dismissive and the place looks like a bomb has hit it, but that would all be bearable if you were able to get meds. I go there regularly to collect my wife's prescriptions and although I go a week after the prescription gets put in, I never wait less than 20 minutes for it to be done - and often I'm told to come back in an hour. On some occasions, I've been told to come back only for it to have been in the draw all along.
Lately they've taken to closing at random, often at peak times. On one occasion they shut despite there being a queue of people, myself included - many of us had been told to come back later to collect meds only to find the door being shut on us. The claim is often that they're short staffed, but I've never seen fewer than four people in there which is what I'd see in any other pharmacy. On some occasions there are five or six - they just don't seem to work with any urgency.
I've been in the queue with people collecting insulin, methodone and other drugs that would have life-changing consequences if not collected, but who have still been turned away when it shuts at random.
It's unacceptable and dangerous. It either needs an overhaul, or it needs closing down so people can make alternative arrangements. In its current form, it's serious consequences waiting to happen.
Got to the pharmacy at 12:45 and the doors were locked with a sign saying "Closed between 1pm and 3pm" (to deal with backlog). This would be easier to stomach if the pharmacy was any good when the doors are unlocked, but it's always a long wait time and never-ending chaos in there. For a pharmacy to just decide to lock its doors like this is so strange and disrespectful to people relying on medication. It's not the customers' fault they are dealing with a huge backlog and disorganisation. Surely there are other ways to solve backlogs without inconveniencing customers.
By far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to.
- The most incompetent staff.
- Rude and grumpy lady that takes the prescription forms.
- The stock room is a complete mess and very disorganised.
- The queue is always out the door because none of them know what they are doing.
I have had multiple instances of waiting for my prescription to be made for over 40 mins and then I chase up where it is and the answer is - oh it was in the drawer all along.
