Sunday morning ( 11 40am) not even busy. Waited to be served for ages. Table was meessy. We have asked front to order but they were telling us wait at the table. Other people who just walked in got served but not us. We had to ask them again to take our order. The girl with glasses on finally came to take our order. We've ordered coffee,tea and scone with Jam. 30sec after the order our tea arrived but still table was meessy. Brought my coffee and tea but didn't give us cup for the tea. Waited to get a cup for ages again. Got scone, but no Jam. Frozen butter. Sigh. No one came , had to go to front and finally got my jam. If I could give a zero star, I WOULD. This is not event a busy time of the year for this wee holiday village. Not worth to visit
A few weeks ago was the first time I was in Newcastle in years and The Stand just made it perfect the staff were lovely the food was gorgeous and the pavlova was out of this world
The strand used to be amazing! The upstairs views were one of the best, sadly…nugelato have taken over and have not kept up with this one of a kind spot. There’re loosing out on the great potential with the upstairs views and the classic unreal desserts, foods and staff.

Nugalato pop up shop very good! Perhaps an idea to have hand sanitizer though on outside tables. But very good!
Very nice. Friendly staff. Food was good with fair sized portions. We both ordered cheeseburgers with chips but got plain burgers. Explained at til and were charged for plain ones. Didnt mind.. less calories
Nice place for a chippy. Ate burgers and fish and chips. Fair size meals, decent price, amazing taste. Didn't tried the sweet treats. For sure they got me as their client every time I'll be in Newcastle.
Went here last Friday for the 1st time. Got the fryday special. Nicest fry I have ever eaten! And on a Friday you get a free cup of tea or coffee with it all for a fiver! The soda and potato bread was homemade and delicious! The customer service was brilliant too.
