Great food, friendly staff, lovely hot shower, looks and is a bit rough around the edges but is fantastic value for money, proper truck stop, parking is a bit uneven and is close to the road, even so you hardly hear any road noise, will definitely use this stop again when I am going to Aberdeen.
Good place to park for the night don't know if they charge for parking for lorries had there big breakfast in my opinion that was not a big breakfast I paid an extra £1.49 and got 1 tinned tomato bacon was warmish it just didn't justify £9.49 price tag for the breakfast if your paying that sort of price then the tomatoes and black pudding should be included not extras charged at extortionate prices you should do a complete set breakfast menu which include these extras I mean if I wanted the black pudding and mushrooms as well the breakfast would have been £13 what a rip off
Mixed feelings about Stracatho. It's a bit run down and a cross between a truck stop and services but I prefer it to one of those identikit stops with all the usual franchises. The food is good home cooked Scottish Traditional. The main down side are the toilets, which are clean but can be a bit smelly, hence the three stars.
Stracathro Services truck stop is situated on the A90 near Brechin.
Very popular with the trucking ???? community you can get some great food here at a very fair price,The wifey's ???? at front of house are awesome at getting you fed quickly and efficiently with food expertly prepared at back of house kitchens.
Anyone can stop here and I would highly recommend this place if you find yourself in the vacinity ????Arriving quite early in the morning I went for the full breakfast which contained 2 of everything including toast and coffee ☕️ for a mere £7:99p... Bargain. The produce was of good quality. Sausages were particularly good . ????
Great transport cafe with great choice of home cooking. Large menu to choose from. Highly recommended
Been stopping here for many years food is basic but good coffee a bit expensive and costs extra if you want white coffee, the toilets have been updated but still stink (urinals fitted instead of gutter)
£10 for overnight truck parking. Evening meal was a Aberdeen Angus burger chips and coleslaw for £9.99, in the morning a Scottish breakfast, £8 including coffee
It was like pulling into a 1970' s retro services. Potholed parking area, Unappetising looking "trucker food" and possibly the worst coffee I've tasted in many years. I'm sure it has it's followers, but for families or holidaying drivers, I would give this one a miss.
