The farm shop and Cafe. One word. Excellent. And now a few more. The staff are lovely, the food is excellent. All in all, a lovely place to visit. Yet another great Breakfast this morning, 7 September Thursday. Great coffee as well!!! Not forgetting great produce in the farm shop. Good value, but you do have to pay a little extra for quality and you get that there, both in the farm shop and Café. Cheers all of you, and see you again soon
Stopped here for breakfast.lts as good as it gets, the mushrooms were well tasty. My tea was topped up and a good strength,So l'm a happy bunny. A warmly busy place with kindly staff.
Imagine the scene if you will. We met here for a cheeky little breakfast with our boss the other day. Not been here before but heard good things about it. The reviews online all seemed to be positive enough too.
It was a frosty, sunny, Thursday morning and when we arrived it was probably half full. We were greeted by the lovely friendly staff and we had some coffees whilst we waited for the rest of our group.
I will be honest. It was cold. Very cold. The nature of the building means that it is almost impossible to heat it, incredibly high ceilings, and pretty drafty, well it is a huge Barn. The cafe end really needs to be closed off from the rest of the building and that would make it easier to heat. Anyway, it was only noticeable as it had been a hard frost the night before. So if you're visiting on a frosty day, take a good coat. We ordered the regular breakfasts and let me tell you something right now, they were GOOOOD!
I can be a tad fussy when it comes to breakfasts. Sometimes thr sausages are rubbish or thr mushrooms are tinned etc but I had nothing to grumble about here. It arrived on a huge plate and the plate was full. Nearly 2 of everything and everything was good. The bacon was banging, the sausages were banging, the mushrooms were huge and..... banging. The black pudding (something that can let down a breakfast sometimes) was really good. Tasty and not greasy at all. Proper eggs, runny yolk but no Jelly, raw white. The toast is good and thick and plentiful and comes pre buttered instead of being delivered with rock hard individual butter portions.
And it wasn't overly priced either. This breakfast banquet was less than a tenna each I think.
There is some seating outside which will be lovely when thr weather warms up a bit.
Something that tells you a lot about an eating establishment is the quality of the toilets...... I'm very happy to announce the toilet here was spotlessly clean. Smelt good too.
All in all we will definitely be visiting again, as it was the nicest breakfast I've had in a while. There is also what looks like a very well stocked shop there too. I must admit I didn't really have a look around as after we had eaten we had to head off as we were a little late for an appointment.
Hope you've enjoyed this little review. If so why not go there and enjoy the tasty treats. They do more than just breakfasts and the cakes were amazing too. Goodbye dear friends. Until next time.
Went into day for a breakfast and it was great like it always is never had a problem everything was cooked well and was hot and nice toast,
Very nice staff you can't fault them at all,yes it could be a bit warmer but they had heaters on so wasn't to bad nothing to moan about keep up the good service.
Just had an amazing breakfast at the Stourport Farmshop & Cafe. The staff were really helpful & very polite. Would definitely recommend it.
Highly recommended. Lovely plated breakfast proper produce in a lovely building. Looking forward to visiting again.
Three of us visited on Friday 27th October to have breakfast/brunch before returning home to Mid Wales. We waited a long time for our meal, my jacket potato arriving 5 mins or so after the other meals. The skin was so tough I couldn’t open it out to get to the potato inside. I sent it back and they begrudgingly apologised and said they would put it right. About 15/20 mins later they returned with my meal, by which time everyone else had finished. The meal was piled high with extra coronation chicken which when moved it to get to the potato, I realised that I still had the same potato, but they had put some mashed potato inside to compensate for the overcooked one. You could tell as potato was completely white and texture was that of mash not jacket. The coronation chicken wasn’t that pleasant either as had far too many chicken chunks in it and not enough sauce so the whole meal was very dry. Didn’t bother to eat it. Could see the staff observing from behind the counter and whispering and giggling amongst themselves knowing full well I hadn’t eaten the meal, but didn’t come to the table to check if everything was now okay, because they knew that the second meal they sent out to me was still unsatisfactory. They even sent one of their staff to walk up past the table into the farm shop and back to glance at the table to secretly observe, but unfortunately she wasn’t very tactful in doing so.
Due to the childish behaviour of the staff and the poor food will not be returning.
On the plus side, credit where credit is due, my husbands breakfast was very nice.
My sister when we ordered, ordered a sausage to take home for her dog, and was presented with a raw one wrapped in a serviette. She asked for a cooked one, which when that came had only seen a flash of the pan.
I have been in the catering trade for 20 years and successfully run two pubs, doing all the catering myself so know what I’m talking about
Great little bargains to be had.
Food was nice could have done with 3-4 rashers of bacon instead of 2. Still tastes OK.
