What a great wee coffee shop! originally planned t meet at General Merchants 50 feet away, but it was queued out the door and packed to the rafters..Stormont Mugs was welcoming, staff were great and the coffee and breakfast were top drawer. I will definitely be back, a great find!
I ordered a Stormont Fry for takeaway. Service was a little slow at 30 mins, but I understand they were busy. When I got the fry home I was disappointed that there was no potato bread or mushrooms and the egg was overcooked. There was a very thin slice of soda which may have been trying to look like potato bread. I rang the cafe regarding the missing items and was told they had ran out of potato bread with no reason given for the lack of mushrooms. The only resolution offered by the cafe was to return the food and receive a refund which I did. Disappointed with the service and food served, staff were pleasant though.

Simple, but delicious, competitively priced breakfast, lunch and tea break fare - savoury and sweet menus great as are coffees and teas. Great to find somewhere welcoming and unpretentious!

Delicious! I ordered the French toast and 3 rashers (because I have a puppy and I knew I’d have to share). The bacon was beautifully cooked. It was tender yet not undercooked and the quality of rasher was great, not overly salty.
The French toast exceeded expectations. It was thick and fluffy but beautifully cooked on the outside. It was a cloud of eggy and breast goodness a perfect medium for fresh fruit. Why would I ever make it at home myself ever again when I can get it from this cafe?
Definitely a perfect place to get your Sunday breakfast / brunch from. And the price was absolutely value for money.
Having been told I would have a 25 min wait at SDB close by - I Called into Stormont Mugs at cabin hill park…. Behind the bus stop!
The Breakfast is superb . Light years ahead of that long established place at knock lights - and no 25 min wait! Food was amazing I couldn’t finish the fry! Place is spotless service impeccable.!
Seriously- You gotta go try it!
