Starbucks provided a delightful atmosphere with exceptional service during my recent visit. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff created a welcoming experience. However, the hazelnut hot chocolate, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, as its taste left much to be desired. Despite this, the overall positive aspects of the place and excellent service make it a worthwhile stop for coffee enthusiasts.
On my way home from the Highlands... everything I see is blooming Costa...miles and miles of Costa....????????
Then some genius someone from somewhe put a Starbucks there...right there...like a glowing beacon in recognition of a saviour.
Inside I find a lovely soul named Megan whom I must say makes a banging cup of coffee ☕
Absolutely a stop if you are feeling something much more palatable than Costa on the main road ????
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I bought a tuna sandwich. After taking one bite, I knew immediately something wasn't right with it. I took it to the till, only to be told that is how it is meant to the taste. I wasn't asking for a refund, just to choose something else. However there was no moving from this position. With the manager saying they never get any complaints about their tuna sandwiches. I quickly searched on line to find loads and shared this with the manager, who again refused to listen. In the end the only alternative, after my wife intervened and informed the manager of salmonella poising. We went in after 7pm, so the sandwich could have been out all day and obviously had gone off.
A junior staff member heard the commotion and suggested we try a different tuna sandwich. I wasn't keen as the smell from the first sandwich was not good. However, the second one was fine. I have to say, the junior staff member was way better than the manager.
Good, quick and accessible stop on the A1 southbound. Car chargers present (expensive). Coffee usual starbucks. The staff were amazing and the place is dog friendly with a reasonable patch of grass to have a leg stretch, Shop and seating is clean although not the cleanest of rest stop toilets. This is not a negative point of the staff, more of the "humans" that drop in to use the services.
This would have been great if they got control of the flies. Constantly landing on your food, there was a zapper behind the counter but more measures need to be put in place.
This is without doubt one of the most spectacular Starbucks in England. We have driven past this iconic services on the A1 in Nottinghamshire a thousand times and it has been empty for maybe ten years.
With a bright and airy interior, this is a fabulous resting place for a refreshment break. The building was a revolutionary design in the 1960s, by architect Sam Scorer of Lincoln and was last occupied 'eons' ago by Little Chef.
This former 'filling station' (ask your grandad) with a crazy parabolic roof is now under the umbrella of the National Transport Trust as a Heritage Site.
2 toilets out of order and staff not pro active to fix or advise clients in of issue. Que to toilets . Don’t accept cash neither
Great vintage little thief location. Toilets are maintained just about could be cleaned more frequently. Staff are hit and miss, sometimes fine sometimes offended at having to work.
