Service was very slow, waited about 15 mins for 2 hot drinks (delivered in take out cups instead of proper cups and one had no syrup in). The lady who served us wasn't very engaging and didn't look that happy tbh! May have been short staffed but drive through seemed to go quick.
Ideal for the a64 but just needs more management in the staff part.
Passed this thousands of times but as it's close to home, never needed to call in. This time, we had an early start to an appointment in York and then on towards Leeds. Having had no breakfast (or more importantly, in my case, my daily caffeine kick), we remembered that this was on route. It's a long way back from the A64 and feels like you pass a potential 2 more entrances, before you actually see it (from the initial sign for the services). Once you get to the services, you drive through the McDonald's car park and keep going to a smaller, quieter one outside Starbucks. The signs for the drive-thru, waiting area and parking are clear. The entrance is easily found and once inside, it's clean, spacious and well laid out with plenty of seats suitable for either a comfy rest break or the obligatory desks for zoom meetings (so glad I'm retired and don't miss that!)
The staff were friendly, polite but chatty and very efficient. I could see them from my seat managing the drive-thru window too and it was all very smoothly run.
The (unisex) toilet was well signposted and clean and there was a disabled toilet too.
Would definitely use again.

Staff behind the counter were friendly, however two other staff members went to get macdonalds and proceeded to talk loudly and disruptively whilst telling the entire restaurant one of them doesn’t like burgers. If they were customers, the staff would have told them to be quiet and respectful. Very disappointed.
Been twice in the past 2 weeks, first time my order of 2 drinks was made wrong and a plant based milk drink(I'm lactose intolerant) was made with normal milk which I didn't realise until were already on the road so I was ill. Second time the 2 drinks both plant based milk were made with normal cream on top and I'm pretty sure there was no syrup in it as it just tasted like a glass of milk. Granted they did offer to remake it but the first girl who made it wasn't apologetic and I felt like I was the issue with asking for it to be remade, another girl who did remake it was nice about it but staff either didn't care or need to be retrained about allergies!! If I hadn't asked about the cream I would've been ill again.
I stopped off with my Dad yesterday for 2 Cappuccinos, we were greeted by lovely staff, First class all of you, Guy, Vicky, and Katie wish every purchase in cafe's shops etc was as good as this was ! the best !!!
Asked for my chai latte extra hot. Was told the machine cuts out when it’s just lukewarm. For my own safety. Really. If I’d spilt that in myself I wouldn’t have felt it.if I pay nearly £6 for a drink I want it hot. Ordered fruit bread. Asked if I wanted anything with it. Asked only for butter. Got a knife and serviette no butter. Disgraceful attitude. I wish I’d gone further in my journey and called in at another Starbucks. Need new management. Told me that where I get mine hot wasn’t part of their franchise. What’s that got to do with asking for a hot drink. RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!! If they can’t do it extra hot DONT TAKE PEOPLES MONEY AND NOT GIVE THEM WHAT THEY ASK FOR. TELL THEM YOU CANT DO IT EXTRA HOT. WASTE OF BLOODY MONEY.
