Staff were nice but the service could use some work, I went to top up my card which he said I could but then just kept telling me to scan my code to pay for the drink I was purchasing, which I couldn’t scan that as they wasn’t enough on my Starbucks card which is why I was trying to top up first, he said he understood so he told me to scan yet again then charged me half on my Starbucks card and the rest in cash which I then had to give him the £10 note and he responded “have u not go any smaller change as u only need to pay £1” which I responded “no I don’t which is why I was trying to put the money on the card to begin with. So I think the staff just need more training or to listen better
The prices are very over rated, really don’t know how coffee places come up with those prices. So I only buy coffee these days if I can enjoy the experience of sitting somewhere different to unwind, catch up on messages, etc. In this case, to also wait for the train to my next destination.
I found the staff very friendly, and the tables were clean, which can be unusual on a train station, while I was having my coffee waiting for my train connection, I noticed the staff always kept the tables clean, removing the rubbish and wiping everything.
Just read lots of bad reviews here complaining of double charges on cards, or card machines never working. That’s why I always prefer cash payments because it’s always the safest way to protect our money from unwanted charges, also best because with cash we can always buy what we want when machines are down, so it’s best for us and all businesses. The good old fashioned way always the best, can’t go wrong with that! :)
Kind / caring and thoughtful. I am often scared due to my personal conditions. However the staff at Reading in the station treat me with kindness. I feel able to get on with my day and the coffees always excellent. Thank you.
My train my delayed and I went to buy a drink. Very friendly and supportive staffs. I had a very nice drink ????.
Seats were regularly cleaned while o waited ✋️.

Alway happy to be greeted by a smile and manners. The two ladies on the morning of 5th Feb are a great example of who you want as a face of the store. It's take out coffee in a station, but when you can still leave smiling ,can you ask fir more?
Dee and Marzena are always welcoming and super efficient. They make an effort to get to know regulars and I am always greeted with a smile. I look forward to my coffee on the concourse
I love Starbucks for coffee but I was utterly disappointed by this visit. Obviously it is based at the station so busy means cramped, and stuck in a corner whilst you wait for your coffee.
Coffee which nobody knew who was what because there were no names taken at the till.
The seating area was disgusting. Tables looked like they hadn't been wiped all day.
The counter that holds the napkins, sugars, straws ect was filthy. The bin was over filling, i'd advise you to get your coffee before arriving at the Reading station for your travel.
Cleanliness was not seen at all whilst visiting before my train. 5 people behind the counter and not one of them wiping tables or sweeping the floor?
You can’t charge 4 pounds for Flat white when you don’t know how to make coffee properly you definitely not using the high quality beans but at least put some effort to make drinkable coffee
