Now to sort out food from somewhere else
I wanted to have a good review for this place after trying for the first time, but here we are. Food was OK, no better than a cheap kebab house, pizzas were oily, garlic bread pizza was really really oily and not much garlic flavour at all. The mrs says the burger was good, she had the mountain burger. Kebab meat that came with it though was wafer thin and dryer than a politician's sense of humour. It literally took 2 hours to get our food from newport to gnosall which is shocking and was barely warm when it arrived. Wont be trying again.
We have used Star Pizza for about 10 years and never once had a complaint. In fact the first time I used them, I rang them to say it was the nicest pizza we've ever had, and they had always maintained an extremely high standard.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered our usual. A treat for my granddaughter's........
What on earth has happened? They were vile. We left most of them. The base should have been deep pan which are normally puffy, crispy on outside and so fresh. The meat on the one was not up to their usual standard.
I believe it has been taken over by new proprietors.
Sadly as we were so disappointed we will not be using them again. Incidentally this was the second order we placed, in the hope it had reverted back to how it was. Not the case.
Not the worst kebab wrap I’ve ever had, but no where near worth the price tag (£6.50). Pitta bread was hard which made it difficult to enjoy. The meat seemed fine if overly greasy.
Probably wouldn’t go back.
