My wife and I visited Hythe and decided to have a snack here. We have eaten here on a couple of occasions previously, so knew we wouldn't be disappointed.
We just had a couple of baguettes, which were quite filling and very tasty. The venue is very clean the staff were very friendly, and the food arrived quickly.
No complaints from us, slightly more expensive than another cafe just up the road, but worth the difference.
Brilliant atmosphere and food , the breakfast was very nicely cooked and served in style.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, attentive staff. Did not enjoy the food. Very poor vegan selection. In absence of much else I asked for a chicken, avocado and pesto sandwich without the chicken. I asked for no dairy butter, but any oil would be appreciated. I was told there was veg oil, but didn't get any. The sandwich was dry. There wasn't much filling, it didn't fill me up much. Not much avocado or pesto.
I had a coconut hot chocolate and coconut latte. I didn't enjoy the hot chocolate (not for the coconut, just the powder that was used), and the coffee wasn't too pleasant, quite strong.
Other than that, good service.
I would have given them feedback while I was there, but I tend to forget, I tried to call but the phone number listed doesn't work, and the website is defunkt. The rest of the web seems to have the same phone number.
Great for breakfast the only time we have been so far. Renamed Star in 2024, is part of Sunshine group. Very polite and attentive service, food well cooked and presented. Try it, you may be pleasantly surprised - we definitely were.
New owners have made this the place to be for fantastic, freshly made to order food. Great selection. Great service. Great value. Don't miss out.
Great place to eat. Excellent service, friendly staff, lovely interior with plenty of seating. Very clean. Good prices, lovely coffee. The Manager is very polite and helpful and facilitating. We have been four times now and although some staff are still training we had no complaints or issues. Recommended.
While this cafe had good service and good food, it severely lacks gluten-free options. If you are gluten-free, you are left with either an omelette or a salad. Furthermore, if you are vegan as well as gluten-free, there is no option for you as all of the salads have animal based products. Bare these factors in mind before you choose to dine.
Had one of the best omelettes I've ever had in here today with my family. The food was of excellent quality, fresh and plentyful, well worth the money. Will definitely visit again, well done guys ????
