I have been a few times now and I have never seen more miserable, unhappy staff. When you walk in, it's like you've just walked into their front room and you've asked them to make the sausage rolls by hand. I understand everyone has a bad day at work but there is no attempt at all for any form of customer engagement or even just basic civility.

The sausage rolls are to die for, nothing like you'll find anywhere else; seasoned and with herbs to perfection. Be quick though, because once they've sold out for the day they're gone! The sandwiches are very nice too, made to order fresh in front of you throughout the day.

Just visited here to pick up some sandwiches and cakes for lunch.
I've had food from here before and also from the one at the bottom of Rawmarsh Hill and they were fine.
Today's visit was disappointing. The sandwiches were noticebly light on the amount of filling and the cakes were dry. Not dry in a recipe way, but dry as in they'd been on display for a day or two.
Wherever possible I like to support local independant businesses, but to be honest, I now deeply wish I'd gone across the road to Greggs.
Fabulous bread and pastries but let down by the miserable and unwelcoming staff. A smile costs nothing. The competition close by Greggs & Couplands have upped their game when it comes to customer service. Everything seems like hard work for the ladies that work in the Wickersley Shop. Spent my last penny in there today !!
Ordered two sandwiches today, was told it was sliced bread only, I said this was fine. I did expect a sliced bread sandwich being cheaper but did not question this. I was charged the normal bread bun price. Which surprised me and I should have questioned this. Got home took sandwich out of bag and couldn't believe I'd paid £2.75 for what I was looking at.Not blaming the staff that served me but trying to put same amount of filling between 2 slices of bread just makes a whole mess.This has put me off, I have decided not to go there again.as this is the second time I've been and filling been sparce

Sausage rolls are amazing, was actually warm, great tasting meat and excellent flavour pastry.
Strawberry tarts, are to die for. Light melt in mouth pastry with fresh and juice strawberry's on top. It's topped with cream to is perfect ready made dessert for night in to make people thing you've spent hours hand crafting these beautiful pastries.
Bought the last two Rhubarb and Custard pies, plus four Custards and a slab of Yorkshire Parkin. Well worth the detour, theirs nothing as good here in Brigg. I see a Staniforth's shop and I feel like I'm back home. Shame that there isn't a shop 50 miles nearer.
