Most beautiful building I saw in England. Incredible Saxon architecture. The carved beasts and font were particularly charming. A short walk from Odda's chapel, which is also worth seeing. A must for anyone interested in architecture and history.
Awesome Church in a great location, with another chapel 150 metres away. Well worth a visit.
The place is so old you can feel it in your bones. Had a wonderful time looking around with good company. Toilets are to the left hand side towards the back. A big thank you to the friends of Deerhurst for looking after this special place.
I visited the bi-annual show which is amazing. The church was full of beautiful flowers by lots of organisations. The arrangements were inspiring. There was also a tea tent and lots of stalls selling beautiful cards/jewellery/handbags and plants and books etc. A raffle and a tombola and a barbecue. The weather was perfect and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Great place to visit on a sunny day. A long narrow lane off the main road brings you to Deerhurst - St Mary's Church and a short walk away, Odda's chapel too. It's hard to believe the age of things in the church and a joy to see the early features. There was a small charge for parking - relying on an honesty box for a good cause of caring for the buildings - by the chapel.
Absolutely loved it what a way to spend a beautiful Sumner afternoon village garden fair.
This place is fascinating! Very old buildings with an amazing history on display. If you are planning a visit to Odda's Chapel, you really need to drop in here too.
Wonderful church and surrounds, there is a bathroom around the side for those on walks etc. do visit - stunning.
