absolute favorite within exeter - high quality coffee (self-roasted) and great snacks like fresh bagels or brownies and cake - the store is very well kept and brilliant to sit infront of and enjoy the sun - the staff is always very friendly and helpful - absolutely no complaints
A lovely little place for coffee lovers. If you want to buy coffee to take home, they have a selection of freshly roasted varieties for sale in 250g packets. You can either buy whole bean or tell them how you want it ground (e.g. cafetiere or espresso) and they will grind it for you back into the packet.
Best coffee in the South West (IMO), these guys are perfectionists, Chris is a 3rd generation roaster - what !!! - yes, he roasts on site, imports the highest grade beans, you only get fresh roasted beans from the day !!!
Incredible. If you buy beans to take home there often still warm in the bag !!!
Come on, that’s unique in itself.
Then try his decaf (most roasters burn the beans), then try his bourbon blend, nobody can infuse beans like this, but Chris and Tina can. Enough said, my absolute fav go to coffee experience :)
Seemingly very unwelcoming experience if you have a child, more specifically to the older women working there. Lacks customer service skills and unfortunately general empathy even during quiet periods. I don’t tend to leave negative reviews but this experience was quite shocking. Have had previous good experiences here before but unfortunately won’t be going back which is shame as the guy who runs it and the other staff seem nice.

Just like to clarify that I wouldn’t necessarily class a supervised 18 month old moving around after coming out of their pram while getting ready to sit at the table, running around dangerously? We were next to our child when they briefly grabbed a small cafeteria and swiftly took this off him. Also unsure what part of our visit we were rude. If you could clarify that would be appreciated. It wasn’t a bad day, but unfortunately turned out to be bad experience.
I would leave a review about their coffee, but I've never got to try it. I went there with my baby as soon as they opened, so there wasn't anyone there yet. I was finding hard to get in but no one offered me help. Then I sat down, and I was asked to wait to be served. Some people came after me and they were enjoying their coffee for a while already when I decided to leave, as I was completely ignored (they could see me, as there wasn't anyone else in the cafe apart from those 2 people, but they walked past us several times to change the music or work in the laptop). So my review is on their service, and certainly didn't feel welcoming at all.
Just to add, my wife later told me about how unpleasant her experience was as well, not been given many facilities when she asked if she could breastfeed in there.
Lovely little coffee shop. Able to cater for my gluten and dairy free needs. We were a group of 4 and all had a sweet treat and everyone could highly recommend their choice. Also all drinks were different and again perfect. Managed to sit in the sunshine too which was a bonus. Thank you we'll be back
This is one of the best coffee shops in Exeter, all of the beans are roasted on the premises and the food is delicious. Definitely will be going back, definitely recommend!
One of the best coffee in the area. Owner is very polite and respectful with his customers.
Oh! and the cakes are to die for. Always plan to get just a flat white but see myself getting out with a coffee & a piece of cake.
