Spixworth Motel

Went here to visit a friend who was staying there. The room had 2 single beds and a wardrobe and drawers. The bed coverings looked rather well worn and, in my opinion, needed replacing. There was a small kitchenette with a cooker, fridge and washing machine which were clean and tidy, and also a microwave, kettle and toaster, and a bathroom off the bedroom. Each room had it's own parking space outside it's door. The site itself was clean, tidy and well cared for. The main negative was that a lot of the rooms were let to young, homeless, people and girls with tiny babies. So there was quite a bit of shouting and noise going on when I was visiting.

Stayed at the motel for the weekend and after reading reviews as i always do, i had mixed thoughts. The motel is easy to find in a quiet village with ample parking around the back of the property. There are self contained rooms at the rear of the main building which i believe are for people that actually live there whilst awaiting other accomodation. I admit i was wary of this after reading it initially but we heard no noise, our car was parked safely so no issues at all. ||Went into the main building through the back door it is very dark and a lot of mahogany wood not making it look bright and friendly. There was nobody at reception so we walked forward into the bar, Greeted by staff in a friendly manner checked in with no problems, Shown upstairs to our room down a narrow hallway. ||Main area of room had a double bed, table and 2 chairs and dressing table. Double wardrobe with hangers, large bathroom with a shower. Not the best for pressure and ours had a split seal but it did the job. There is a small room off the bedroom which houses a sink, fridge kettle and toaster. Continental breakfast is there for you which is handy however i had read up on the place and took a few bits of our own. Room is small but we only needed a base so it was fine for what we needed. ||We didn't use any of the facilities at the motel and it didn't look like many people did either, We had easy access in and out of the motel, we heard very little noise only when someone else was being shown to the room as they are very close to one another and it was fine for what we needed||If you are used to large plush rooms with lots of facilities this won't be for you. If you want a base for an affordable price then its adequate

Super clean comfy room. Breakfast items in the spotless fridge. Very warm welcome. The bar is next door, and most welcoming. The staff were sooo friendly. I will be visiting again.

Can't speak for the Self Catering Studio Flats but rooms in main motel are adequate for a short stay. Warm, comfortable bed, fridge stocked withe breakfast material & kitchenette is clean - as is bathroom. For price, it's a good business stay - and staff are very helpful.

This is THE WORST, most disgusting place I have ever been in my life!! The staff are disrespectful, up there own arses, straight up rude. The bathroom had a piece of dried human poo attached to it! Looked like it’s never been cleaned. It’s out dated and if you say anything bad about the place to the owners she just kicks you out and accuses everyone of being racist! I would rate it lower than 0 if I could!

Absoloutly disgusted with the room. First day we turned up there were ants already in the room and silverfish in the bath tub! Every day I hoovered and mopped the floors to avoid ants coming back yet still had ants and silverfish throughout our stay. The fire extinguisher and fire blanket were not even attached properly, the blanket was hanging out which would have been useless if a fire had have occurred as was mouldy; also they weren't safety checked and were way out of date! Whenever I opened my windows on a warm day the stench of cannabis would come through which is not what I want my children knowing about nor being around. The oven was filthy had to clean it myself with bicarb and white vinegar before I used it as it made the first lot of food I cooked taste how it smelt. Baring in mind Im not a snob more of a commoner.. Would not recommend it here.

Wanted somewhere cheap to stay for 1 night in a central location in Norfolk and it was ideal. Cheap but clean and tidy. Great value for money. Continental breakfast included and a nice bar area with local ales. VALUE FOR MONEY
