Popped in for a drink with my partner between appointments. I ordered a hazelnut latte and he had a mocha, they were both lovely. There's a great variety of food, drinks and cakes. Bathroom was nice and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. We would have stayed longer and played on the slot machines at the back if we'd had enough time.
Booked in for afternoon tea on Sat at 1.30. Turned up. Numerous staff walked past us, ignored us and one waitress walked into me with a bowl of soup (didn't even say excuse me) after 5 minutes managed to speak to someone. Was told "oh we didn't know if you were turning up as you didn't leave a name, number or deposit " I responded "the man I spoke to just told me to come at 1.30pm and didn't request any further information " the lady just flung her arms up and said "well what do you want us to do" " you can come back in few hours when not as busy " so we decided to not eat in the cafe given the rudeness of the staff and went to cafe luna on Bradshawgate which I would highly recommend. I will not visit slots cafe again or recommend it.
Can't even rate this place with one star.
First time in and due to them being busy was given a free pot of tea whilst waiting for food and then when they ran out of chips was given two cakes to take home. Very friendly ????
Was lovely and cosy, service was quick though a little expensive
Been in there quite a few times great service good atmosphere but food not brilliant I had a jacket potato with tuna mayo on two occasions tuna to lumpy potato just warm so the third time I went in because I like the cafes atmosphere and service I ordered 2 fried eggs on toast plate to small eggs well over cooked
Good homemade food and competitive prices clean and comfy
Really friendly staff and reasonable prices e. It's all you want from a good indipendant cafe.
My husband and I love sitting in the window seats "watching the world go by" whilst enjoying our coffees! The staff are SO friendly & smart & obliging.The tables are always kept clean as is the toilet. Nice food menu too.
