Found this fish and chip shop that was 7 miles,15 to 16 mins drive from a holiday caravan site ( green hill farm Salisbury) and I am very pleased we did as the haddock, chips and peas fritter was absolutely lovely. If we return to the area we will definitely go again, anyone who lives in the area has got a lovely shop, so make sure it keeps trading.
I frequently order from here, and have done all my life, as do my relatives.
The man who answered the phone this evening was absolutely disgusting. Was very rude, abrupt and hung up the phone before I could even speak. If you can’t get to the phone, have a voicemail service.
Don’t know if he’s a new owner but we will be using competitors in Fordingbridge from now on. The fish shop is a cornerstone of our small village community and will be there long after he leaves.
I am really disappointed.
Lovely staff. Really nice piece of fish. Very generous portion of chips, which sadly were dry and awful. I will not be back, i'm afraid.
Totally endorse all of the positive reviews here. I'm a holiday-maker staying near Salisbury and searched Google for great fish and chips and you guys didn't let me down. Friendly service, really well cooked fish and chips (crispy, dry batter with tasty golden chips). Portion sizes are excellent value for money. I drove 20 minutes to get here and then ate my delicious meal at 'The Moot', a quiet ornamental garden just around the corner... The perfect place for a perfect chippy supper.

I've been coeliac (gluten free) for about 21yrs now and last night I had the best gluten free battered cod in all that time! Cooked to perfection and the batter was crispy and tasty. Mum and dad had 'normal" fish and chips and said the chips were fantastic, dad went back for more even though he normally has a small appetite...I will recommend
Had a lovely fish and chip meal for four people last week. Our meal was ordered over the phone and ready on time. Excellent speedy service from a very helpful and pleasant young lady at the counter and delicious food. Thank you.
I had fish and my wife had a battered sausage both with chips and they were both lovely....loads of chips!
