Great Caribbean food. They sell amazingly tasty and warming chunky soup which is a nice meal on its own. Tasty pattie. I had the curried goat with rice and beans.....delicious!
They sell food that has gone off and try to hide it with seasoning. I didn’t realise it at first as it looks and smells ok, but each time I eat from there I have stomach pains and foul smelling feaces. I tried to talk to the staff about it and the Rastaman hurled abuse at me. I will never eat from there again.
Absolute terrible food here. Its not nice and doesnt have any spice. Stone cold food flung into the microwave. Gave me a very bad belly. Never ever again. Used to go here over 10yrs ago and was good. So was in the area. NEVER AGAIN
The old man who works here is miserable and rude. Still I find myself coming back to this place for convenience. The other staff are far nicer. Though the food I bought yesterday has laid me out with food poisoning.
This place used to be amazing and I'd travel there specifically for their food. The last few times I've been there it's been nothing short of abysmal. Was given a large portion of rice that tasted like it was on the turn and a portion of curried BONES!!! If there was any meat, it was thrown from a great height!! The saltfish fritters are super greasy and doughy, the fried dumplings are dry and bland. The service? When they do decide to serve you then its slow and they are NOT professional. They try and overcharge and become argumentative if you question them. It's also super slow even when the shop has no other customers.
I'll take my custom elsewhere now. Such a shame, this place used to be the best but not any more!! ????
I bought cow foot with rice n peas. Plus 2 dumplings from this place as a take away. When I got home and open the containers. The food was not fresh. The dumplings had enough salt to kill 2 humans and the dumplings was like 3 days old. Hard and dry. No wonder he put a extra dumpling for free. The cow foot had no meat on it. Just bones. Rice n peas was over cook that it was tasteless. If you buy food from here open it and check it there.
This kind of food you do when you want to scam people and make a little profit for yourself. Oh, I forget too mention, I was given three different total before he realised I was no fool and acting all nice. Dam thief £25.00...£10.50...then £15.50. And the rudeness when you try to order. Man turn his back and walk off.. leaving you saying excuse me. Excuse me. Comes to you 10 minutes later all nice nicey
NEVER AGAIN! I am not even giving this a star it’s just so i could post a review. Ordered curry goat and white rice, when the lady brought the food through to the front it was cold and asked if i wanted it warmed she tried to be very courteous while talking to a colleague about my order in Patois, i remained calm and collected and she asked me if I wanted something else as there wasn’t much meat and added plantain and steam cabbage to the meal. As i was paying for my order a customer mentioned that the meal is supposed to cost £5.50 i was charged £6.50 not much difference if you ask me so i paid thinking the flavour will make up for the price difference it didn’t make up for it. The food was bland I couldn’t taste any curry and went back to the shop for salt and pepper sauce, there was no salt so just put loads of pepper and went on my way the pepper made absolutely no difference to the meal it was as if the the pepper sauce was diluted in water. Do not go to this shop if you don’t want be Hangry!!!
I had come in store and got a large red pea soup and as I was eating it I found a plaster in my food. I’m pregnant so you can imagine how worried and disgusted I was. I threw up as soon as I realised what it was I’m in shock. I tried to call the restaurant but the number provided online was not working so I couldn’t even call up. Furious!
