Ordered jollof rice and it tasted like cleaning liquid was mixed into it. Kinda like disinfecting soap in the rice. Called the shop and they tried to convince me that jollof across Africa tastes different. I’ve cooked Nigerian, Ghanaian and Senegalese jollof and I know for a fact that none of them taste like soap. Horrible customer service and inedible food in this instance.
These people are completely incompetent idiots with no communication or organisational skills and the food is poor quality . They waited an hour to say they didnt have all but 1 of the items ordered so complete waste of our time. They never have the items they advertise on the menu and like to waste people's time. Not a real business. Dont bother
This is most definitely not a 5 star establishment. Thats lies. The Suya stank, was dry and tuff beyond words. Not to mention paying £10 for a container the same size as my palm. It’s New Year’s Day, This is clearly a batch from a few days ago, ate one small piece and threw the lot. The container of jelloff; half empty. Really disappointed. Should have stuck to Squires Cafe. Lesson learnt.
I ordered food and I got half of the staff I ordered and this is not the first time. Don’t order from this restaurant they always miss something on your order and is hard to get them on the phone as they are busy on the call.
Not the one waiting for a stomach ache to happen felt sick after eating the jerk chicken felt like it was in a freezer for 2 months and reheated in an oven not authentic. Rice and Peas more like rocks and pebbles a poor effort to making food had to chuck it all in the bin. Do NOT recommend !
You don’t value yourself or your taste buds if you order here. Learn from my experience and save your life and money…seriously. I have nothing more to say.
Hosted an event on Friday, nice vibes in the restaurant, nice workers and great food
Best African Shop in Newham! The jollof rice was delicious and the chicken was so amazing I think about this food before I go to sleep. This shop has a special place in my heart
