Best KPortal Reviews

Well I wish I wasn't writing this review but I must as a health and safety piont of view .
Saturday 1st March 2024 my partner and I were in there area visiting old haunts .
It's was a busy afternoon of locals thought great to see a local still being used ..
We were there for bout hour in that time 3 guys of mid 20s were messing about at the bar .. but then the person on the bar decide to spray Air freshners at the guys .. which set of an asthma attack on my partner .. we had to leave on leaving the bar man was collecting our glasses and I did piont out his actions on spraying airfreshner in a confined space was irresponsible.. and we were having to leave because of that.
His answer was I only sprayed a bit ..
Really ..
Childish behaviour .. is not the way to run a pub ..
Since this happened on Saturday afternoon the rest of our day was spent recovering for my partner.
Fantastic pub. We came in from the nearby canal and the only reason we can’t give a higher rating for food is that the kitchen was closed. That said, a friendly local recommended an alternative and even went as far as to run us up the road so we get an evening meal. First class
Warm, friendly and welcoming. Definitely return. We only popped in for a drink
Just visited, friendly landlord and amazing selection of ciders, good location just off the canal.
Nice place, staff were friendly, beer was good. Good size beer garden. Enjoyed my visit.
Great local country pub. Tom, the landlord, is very welcoming and has a great range of draught beers, ciders and continental lagers. The last count was 18 on draught!
Well worth a visit.
I went to the karaoke evening held by the DUKEBOX BOYZ. A very enjoyable evening spent in a nice clean village pub setting..plenty of car parking. I have mentioned it ri friends and wull be going back.
Brilliant pub, just wish you could get some lunch there....
