Excellent fish and chips. Come here a lot and been disappointed just the once. I pointed out my fish was dry and they swapped for another. That was a few years ago, and been pretty much perfect ever since. The Large Chips portion serves 4 or us!

For the 3rd time in a row, I pre ordered a portion of Scampi and went to one stop.
Got back into the queue waiting for the food and it became obvious, yet again that the scampi had not been put in to cook.
Waited 10 minutes and asked the girls serving, to be fair, who are really good, and did actually shout over the order when I pre booked if the Scampi had actually been put in to cook.
Usual rubbish, the 2 proprietors of the place realised that they had forgotten AGAIN and sneaked round the back of the shop to obviously get some.
I just walked out telling the really good serving ladies to forget it altogether.
Really poor back up by the proprietors cooking the food.
Absolute waste of time.
Without a doubt one of the best chippys in Nottinghamshire. We all appreciate that any fast food is not particularly good for us but treat yourself and try their Fish and Chips! Delightful!
Queued up for ages on a Friday to see a small tatty sign at the end of the queue saying CASH ONLY. To be honest the food looked mediocre at best and the shop was tatty but nowhere else for miles around.
Absolutely awful fish n chips. Unbearably greasy, tasteless and soggy batter. Around 1.9kg of chips for one portion...straight in the bin. How hard is it to make proper fish and chips?
The fish & chips from here are amazing. A beautiful light crisp batter topped with salt & vinegar that you can actually tatse makes the trip here worth every mile. Service is friendly and we never seem to be waiting or waiting long for a fish to be cooked. Top quality I'd highly recommend.
Really sorry, but I was just out of hospital and fancied fish’n’chips. I phoned up beforehand to check that they did small portions, which they did! Great.
When my husband brought them home and put them on my plate, the first chip, and to be honest all the others, were absolutely awful, greasy, floppy, nasty taste…! The batter of the fish was again thick, sloppy, greasy and tasteless but the fish was okay!! I’m so disappointed as I’m sure this place would not have been trading for so long if their produce was usually as bad as this. I left 3/4 of the chips, most of the batter and 1/2 of the fish!! Were we unlucky? I was gutted though!!!
