My name is Hamid, I had the typical problem with my Mercedes E-class Convertible 2019. The strings were ripped and and the roof could not lock in completely in the last 2% of the process when folding into the trunk/ boot.
The strings are known vulnerability and its a manufacturing fault from Mercedes(They will never admit)
Tony did a perfect job, he even reinforced the soft top as it was quite severely broken.
Attached a picture from my soft top / roof, see how bad it looked like before I came to Tony. The string were ripped off and the it was a wonder that it was still moving at all.
Very good customer service. Top recommendation from me he has a lot of experience and can handle the issue better than Mercedes. Mercedes would only replace the whole roof for 3-4k£
PS: I had amazing tour of the Transport Motor Museum in Coventry while Tony was working on it, he was so kind to drive me back and forth to the town center, instead of me waiting in the garage.
Much relieved to find someone who could fix the back window and motor of my Audi a4 cabriolet. Tony knows his stuff and has been in the business for a long time. Non VAT a bonus and 3 year warranty but cleaning of the roof comes at something of a premium!
I travelled a long way but was taken to and collected from Coventry Station.

I went to Tony to have a replacement rear window fitted to my Audi 80 convertible. He made a magnificent job of it, I highly recommend him, the man is a Wizard! I am having some more detailing work done to the car and the guy who is doing the work was totally in awe of the quality of Tony's work. Well worth the trip from Eastbourne to Coventry. Thanks Tony!

My car was suffering from the well known problem of frayed and broken springs
Arrived at 0900 and was back on the road again by 1530pm
Very good service. Was dropped into the City centre and collected later when the car was ready
New strings were fitted and repairs were made to the headlining. No evidence of the repair
A lovely guy to deal with. Would certainly use him again but hope it won't be necessary!!

I found that the glass rear screen on my Audi A4 cabriolet was coming away from the fabric hood. I came across STCS while googling and while many places recommended replacing the complete roof (£££), Tony was able to re-bond the faulty section. The repair is completely watertight (and we've had plenty of rain in the last month!). I also got him to steam clean the roof while he had the car, so the roof now looks and functions pretty much like new. Thanks Tony!
I have used Soft-Top Convertible Specialists, Coventry to fit a new Soft-Top and Hydro Pump Unit to my 2004 Z4. Tony is a true craftsman with very high professional standards, excellent workmanship, excellent communication and all at a fair and reasonable price compared to my local BMW Main Dealer. I highly recommend his business to anyone considering the need for a Soft-Top Specialist.
I found Tony on Google and chose this business because of the great reviews and he didn’t disappoint me. Tony was super helpful and able to help fit in the job I needed to repair the back window on my soft top roof. I have included a before and after picture to show what an amazing, top quality job he did. Not only did he do a fantastic repair job, but he also cleaned the roof and made it look like brand new! It gave the whole car a facelift! I can’t thank Tony enough or recommend him highly enough, he is great at what he does and will do an amazing job.
Called to ask politely about new hood. Blokes attitude stinks. Answer was a shirty " we don't do them in summer" with a nasty tone.
When would you do them then winter?
What a joke.
Avoid this nasty piece if work and his foul temper and attitude. Makes motor trade look bad.
I think the guys answer speaks volumes with regards his awful approach I customers. This review was not written out of spite. It was a heads up for the owner to change his attitude, and for customers to be aware of the kind of person they are dealing with.
I have been in the motor trade 36 years and never met or received such shirt shrift and arrogance from a person.
They out the trade to shame and clearly can't even accept or apologise for their awful manner and customer relations.
This to me speaks volumes.
His answer sums him up nicely.
Not a review to be ignored but this is what he clearly will do.
Ignore his business then.
